Lifetime is short compared to the time the earth has existed in

Earth’s lifetime compared to that of the great universe

Equally short, our images of the world that we populate

Die harder, our fate and our images

Seen through our eyes might well be lies

What access do we have to the world we’re living in

Is this a dream that we live, it’s hard to believe

What proof can there be of life, I just think that

It’s strange how we all walk around, on visitors feet upon our ground

And make believe that this is all, as we know what all is

And strange how how we can’t understand

Compared, earth is only a grain of sand

When faced with this, I can’t deny that ignorance is bliss

When all things flow eternally, and no man is ever there to see

The great eternal unperceived, what is existence

Are these things real although unseen

And what does it matter that we have been

Like grains of sand blow in the wind, so is our existence

Kill the fire, cut the wire, deny desire, be a liar, watch me then

Feed the fire, pull the wire, then take it higher than lie, don’t waste breath

on it

While we think redemption will save us from temptation

We can’t escape religion whatever it’s origin, is there no

Way out of the madness, it’s only brought us sadness

Consider it an illness in life, why did it never seem

Strange how we all walk around, on visitors feet upon our ground

And make believe that this is all, as we know what all is

And strange how how we can’t understand

La vita è breve rispetto al tempo in cui è esistita la terra

La vita della Terra rispetto a quella del grande universo

Altrettanto brevi, le nostre immagini del mondo che popoliamo

Die più duro, il nostro destino e le nostre immagini

Viste attraverso i nostri occhi potrebbero benissimo essere bugie

Che accesso abbiamo al mondo in cui viviamo

È un sogno in cui viviamo, è difficile da credere

Che prova ci può essere della vita, lo penso solo

È strano come camminiamo tutti in giro, con i piedi dei visitatori per terra

E fai credere che questo sia tutto, poiché sappiamo cosa sia tutto

E strano come non riusciamo a capire

In confronto, la terra è solo un granello di sabbia

Di fronte a questo, non posso negare che l'ignoranza è beatitudine

Quando tutte le cose scorrono eternamente e nessun uomo è mai lì per vedere

Il grande eterno non percepito, che cos'è l'esistenza

Queste cose sono reali anche se non viste

E cosa importa che siamo stati

Come granelli di sabbia al vento, così è la nostra esistenza

Spegni il fuoco, taglia il filo, nega il desiderio, sii bugiardo, guardami allora

Alimenta il fuoco, tira il filo, quindi portalo più in alto di mentire, non sprecare fiato

su di essa

Mentre pensiamo che la redenzione ci salverà dalla tentazione

Non possiamo sfuggire alla religione qualunque sia la sua origine, non è vero

Una via d'uscita dalla follia, ci ha portato solo tristezza

Considerala una malattia nella vita, perché non è mai sembrata

Strano come camminiamo tutti in giro, con i piedi dei visitatori per terra

E fai credere che questo sia tutto, poiché sappiamo cosa sia tutto

E strano come non riusciamo a capire
