I believe in a happy land

Where the people die so we can understand

I still don’t know if I’m for sure

But I hold a faith that what I feel is right

If you believe that your number one

Very soon you’ll be number one

Last night I crucified an old belief of mine

Then I told everybody that I could fly

And the whole damn world they said I’d lost my mind

The priest and the bishop and the girl next door

Laughed in my face they’ll laugh no more

'Cause I don’t know if I want them to see that I’m living in a

World

My own reality

What’s true for you ain’t true for me

One small step for man

One giant leap for mankind

I believe in a happy land

Where the present day is really promised land

I still don’t know if I’m for sure

But I hold a faith that what I see is right

If you believe that pigs can fly

Very soon your pig will fly

Last night I crucified an old belief of mine

And if you believe that the world is against you

Then so it will be in your experience

And if you believe that you are poor and always will be

Then your experience will so prove to you

And I just know that your gonna be free when your living in

Your world

Dove muoiono le persone così possiamo capire

Non so ancora se ne sono sicuro

Ma ho una fede che ciò che sento sia giusto

Se credi che sia il tuo numero uno

Molto presto sarai il numero uno

Ieri sera ho crocifisso una mia vecchia credenza

Poi ho detto a tutti che potevo volare

E in tutto il dannato mondo hanno detto che avevo perso la testa

Il prete e il vescovo e la ragazza della porta accanto

Mi hanno riso in faccia, non rideranno più

Perché non so voglio che vedano che vivo in un

Mondo

La mia realtà

Ciò che è vero per te non è vero per me

Un piccolo passo per l'uomo

Un grande passo per l'umanità

Credo in una terra felice

Dove il giorno d'oggi è davvero la terra promessa

Non so ancora se ne sono sicuro

Ma sono convinto che ciò che vedo sia giusto

Se credi che i maiali possano volare

Molto presto il tuo maiale volerà

Ieri sera ho crocifisso una mia vecchia credenza

E se credi che il mondo sia contro di te

Allora sarà così nella tua esperienza

E se credi di essere povero e lo sarai sempre

Allora la tua esperienza te lo dimostrerà

E so solo che sarai libero quando vivrai
