I have seen you cutting down trees

Trees that were planted

To aid you to breathe

And I’ve seen you pluck carelessly

Fruit yet unripened

Then discard their seeds

Over mist, through leaves

I have seen

Change in the fields

Where corn once stood in sheaves

Scattering poisons?

Tainting our earth

No salute to life’s cycle

No hope of rebirth

Ti ho visto abbattere alberi

Alberi che sono stati piantati

Per aiutarti a respirare

E ti ho visto spennare con noncuranza

Frutta ancora acerba

Quindi scartare i loro semi

Sopra la nebbia, attraverso le foglie

Ho visto

Modifica nei campi

Dove un tempo c'era il mais tra i covoni

Dispersione di veleni?

Contaminando la nostra terra

Nessun salute al ciclo della vita

Nessuna speranza di rinascita
