A Single Second of Clarity - Nefandus

In the hole of the serpent of the abyss

A thirst and a will planted in the child-hood of man

And even before the fall, adam had given in to sin

To iniquity and dominant desires

Delivering us a hunger for seperation and loss

The inner serpent is raised until we all fall blind

— and we sense the black dragon from afar!

Embodied and clear when in trance of death

Contained and dwelling in forbidden knowledge

For a moment here and never to be seen again!

What law is could now be deemed truth

When reaching out even beyond the left hand of god?

Oh, fools and harlots!

The wisdom herein burns far beyond comprehension

Even in the most vile worship!

Pathways glow in the night

Abyss after abyss, and further you fall!

Into the filth you stored

Among distorted faces and fallen spirits

A mirror of your every struggle

You hunger, starve and long for release

Drinking deep from fire and brimstone

Thrusting through the darkness of luna

Through black space

Greedily devouring the poison

And in tunnels deep and bizarre

What you deemed triumph dissolves

Further, further!

And in the loss of desire and effort

A single second of clarity

E anche prima della caduta, Adamo aveva ceduto al peccato

Dandoci una fame di separazione e perdita

Il serpente interiore viene innalzato finché tutti non cadiamo ciechi

— e percepiamo il drago nero da lontano!

Incarnato e chiaro quando è in trance di morte

Contenuti e dimoranti nella conoscenza proibita

Per un momento qui e per non essere più visto!

Ciò che è la legge ora potrebbe essere considerato verità

Quando si tende anche oltre la mano sinistra di dio?

Oh, sciocchi e prostitute!

La saggezza qui brucia ben oltre la comprensione

Anche nell'adorazione più vile!

I sentieri si illuminano di notte

Abisso dopo abisso, e più lontano cadrai!

Nella sporcizia che hai immagazzinato

Tra volti stravolti e spiriti caduti

Uno specchio di ogni tua lotta

Hai fame, muori di fame e desideri ardentemente il rilascio

Bere in profondità dal fuoco e dallo zolfo

Spingendosi attraverso l'oscurità della luna

Attraverso lo spazio nero

Divorando avidamente il veleno

E in tunnel profondi e bizzarri

Quello che consideravi il trionfo si dissolve

Più lontano, più lontano!

E nella perdita del desiderio e dello sforzo

Un solo secondo di chiarezza
