I can hear you moving around downstairs.

Dragging your feet as you walk back and forth through the house.

Running your hand over the piano keys absentmindedly as you pass by.

I want to join you.

I sit up slowly in my bed.

It’s dark outside but there’s a light glowing in the yard & it’s coming in

through the windows.

I can hear the wind blowing the leaves around.

I hear your voice downstairs and I want to join you.

Turning away, I walk down the hallway to the stairs where I sit and wait.

The noises have all stopped and i see you standing by the window with your back

to me, the light from the yard wrapping around your hair.

I want to say something but i can’t speak.

The room starts to fade & there is only you in the light and nothing else.

Riesco a sentirti mentre ti muovi al piano di sotto.

Trascinando i piedi mentre cammini avanti e indietro per la casa.

Passando la mano sui tasti del pianoforte distrattamente mentre passi.

Voglio unirmi a te.

Mi siedo lentamente nel mio letto.

Fuori è buio ma c'è una luce che brilla nel cortile e sta entrando

attraverso le finestre.

Riesco a sentire il vento che scompiglia le foglie.

Sento la tua voce al piano di sotto e voglio unirmi a te.

Voltandomi dall'altra parte, cammino lungo il corridoio verso le scale dove mi siedo e aspetto.

I rumori si sono tutti fermati e ti vedo in piedi accanto alla finestra con le spalle

per me, la luce del cortile che avvolge i tuoi capelli.

Voglio dire qualcosa ma non riesco a parlare.

La stanza inizia a svanire e ci sei solo tu nella luce e nient'altro.
