Jericho walls fastened up tight,

promised our Yahweh surely would be a terrible fight.

Marching around, day after day,

faithfully waiting, giving a shout with trumpets to play.

At the echoes of that sound,

they could see the walls come down.

Praying for a «yes» answer with strife,

freedom was prayed for, freedom received but not in this life.

A reprieve was not to be,

though he truly was set free.

Le mura di Gerico sono state fissate strette,

Sentendo le parole «Il cancro si è diffuso»

affrontare i trattamenti, soffrire il dolore con tempi peggiori a venire.

Pregando per una risposta "sì" con conflitto,

si pregava per la libertà, si riceveva la libertà ma non in questa vita.

Una tregua non doveva essere,

sebbene sia stato davvero liberato.

Quando le mura sono crollate,

Non è stato affatto come intendevamo,

Se confidiamo in Dio, troveremo la Sua benedizione
