The last day of November in 1939

The early winter has painted the city white

As day turns to night and

Skies clear above

People below will

Fight to stay alive

The sunlight vanishes and leaves the city bare

The lights are killed and the traffic is rare

As heavy silence

Fills the ground

From the east

The sky unleashes the beast

The monstrous roaring of the bombers

Fills the moonlit sky

The fear among the men grows bigger

Unsure if they’re gonna die

The overwhelming size of the Soviet fleet

Prepares to drop its load

The pitch black city hidden down below

Prepares to take a blow

A Soviet pilot tries to see the target

In the pitch black night

The A-A fire lights the sky in flames

Right before the plane

In fear he drops the bombs and turns away

As flak tears the sides

As the first bombs hit the ground

The inferno is unleashed

The wail of death from above

They hear the screams everywhere

The dying cries of children

Somebody screams: Incoming!

The air raid siren cries midst of mayhem

All around the chaos unfolds

Bloody remains of dead civilians

Grief of the people left alive

Smoke arises from burning rubble

Inside the trapped children cry

How could their father save them now

He’s at frontline dying too

Save their souls

Mend our ways

May their souls

Rest in peace

When the sun begins to rise

The full destruction is seen

Death is present everywhere

But things could be worse

The government buildings still intact

Most of the bombs dropped to sea

Dread tonight’s second attack

Blood on their hands they’re coming back

Will we learn

From our past

May our scars

Heal in time

The first day of the bombings slowly came to end

A feeling of relief is felt throughout the town

Only to find out

That the coming night

Would make the capital

Face death again

L'ultimo giorno di novembre del 1939

L'inizio dell'inverno ha dipinto di bianco la città

Mentre il giorno si trasforma in notte e

Cieli sereni sopra

Le persone sotto lo faranno

Combatti per rimanere in vita

La luce del sole svanisce e lascia la città nuda

Le luci sono spente e il traffico è raro

Come un silenzio pesante

Riempie il terreno

Da est

Il cielo scatena la bestia

Il mostruoso ruggito dei bombardieri

Riempie il cielo illuminato dalla luna

La paura tra gli uomini cresce

Non sono sicuro se moriranno

Le enormi dimensioni della flotta sovietica

Si prepara a scaricare il carico

La città nera come la pece nascosta laggiù

Si prepara a prendere un colpo

Un pilota sovietico cerca di vedere il bersaglio

Nella notte buia

Il fuoco AA illumina il cielo in fiamme

Proprio prima dell'aereo

Nella paura sgancia le bombe e si volta dall'altra parte

Mentre la contraerea strappa i lati

Quando le prime bombe colpirono il suolo

L'inferno è scatenato

Il lamento della morte dall'alto

Sentono le urla ovunque

Le grida morenti dei bambini

Qualcuno urla: In arrivo!

La sirena del raid aereo grida in mezzo al caos

Tutto intorno si scatena il caos

Resti insanguinati di civili morti

Il dolore delle persone rimaste in vita

Il fumo nasce dalle macerie in fiamme

Dentro i bambini intrappolati piangono

Come potrebbe il loro padre salvarli adesso?

Anche lui sta morendo in prima linea

Salva le loro anime

Ripara i nostri modi

Possano le loro anime

Riposa in pace

Quando il sole inizia a sorgere

Si vede la completa distruzione

La morte è presente ovunque

Ma le cose potrebbero andare peggio

Gli edifici governativi ancora intatti

La maggior parte delle bombe cadde in mare

Dread secondo attacco di stasera

Sangue sulle loro mani stanno tornando

Impareremo?

Dal nostro passato

Possano le nostre cicatrici

Guarisci in tempo

Il primo giorno dei bombardamenti finì lentamente

In tutta la città si avverte una sensazione di sollievo

Solo per scoprirlo

Che la notte in arrivo

Farebbe la capitale

Affronta di nuovo la morte
