Yesterday,

There was a praying mantis on my window pane

And with it’s cold eyes it stared and waited,

Waited and stared again

Today I’ve caught some spiders

To fee my little friend

Today I’ve caught some flies

For the mantis to pray a lullaby

I woke up sitting on his window pane

And through my old eyes I stared and waited,

Waited and stared again

And so it caught some spiders

To feed his brand new friend

And so it caught some lies

For me to pray a lullaby

Divine were all your trails

Dreaming of my praying mantis

Ieri,

C'era una mantide religiosa sul vetro della mia finestra

E con i suoi occhi freddi fissava e aspettava,

Aspettava e fissava di nuovo

Oggi ho catturato dei ragni

Per dare da mangiare al mio piccolo amico

Oggi ho preso delle mosche

Affinché la mantide preghi una ninna nanna

Ieri,

Mi sono svegliato seduto sul vetro della sua finestra

E attraverso i miei vecchi occhi fissavo e aspettavo,

Aspettava e fissava di nuovo

E così ha catturato alcuni ragni

Per dare da mangiare al suo nuovo amico

E così ha catturato alcune bugie

Per me pregare una ninna nanna

Dio

Si muove in modi misteriosi

Divine erano tutte le tue tracce

Giacerò nella mia tomba

E lo sognerò

Metterò nella tomba

Sognando la mia mantide religiosa
