Two epidemics that are interacting which each other

One is the loneliness, and the other is narcissism

I believe narcissicm has gone from something that people had and you could stay

away from them

To something closer to an epidemic

And I think social media has done that

What I’ve learned about this narcissicm thing

I used to think it was people who thought they were great, thought they were

great, thought they wer great

I used to think it was peopl who thought they were great, this narcissism thing

It’s not about people thinking they’re great, thinking they’re great

It’s about people who have broken self esteem

Just completely broken

And the way they deal their broken self-esteem, is by belittling other people

Or one upping them, bragging, putting them down, shutting them down,

thwarting them in any way you can

Now I used to look as those people cause there everywhere

But man are there more of them?

There are right, and I think it’s because people who might have been sort of on

the border in that way just got pushed over the edge by social media

It’s not about people thinking they’re great, thinking they’re great

It’s about people who have broken self esteem

Just completely broken

Imagine living in a world where everybody is criticising everybody for

everything

That’s our world, we live in a world where everybody is criticising everybody

for everything

Imagine that

How would you like to be a teenager and be criticised on everything

That shirt you wore that one day, that embarrassing thing you did just once,

but somebody saw it

But you’re not as pretty or as handsome or as strong or as good at sports as

this other person

It’s gotta be devastating, devastating

And there’s just more of it, because it’s in your face and you are seeing the

impossible images of people you want to be like, but you’re not etcetera

Due epidemie che interagiscono tra loro

Uno è la solitudine e l'altro è narcisismo

Credo che il narcisicm sia passato da qualcosa che le persone avevano e tu potresti restare

lontano da loro

A qualcosa di più vicino a un'epidemia

E penso che i social media lo abbiano fatto

Quello che ho imparato su questa cosa del narcisismo

Pensavo che fossero persone che pensavano di essere fantastiche, pensavano di esserlo

fantastico, pensavo fossero fantastici

Riguarda le persone che hanno rotto l'autostima

Solo completamente rotto

E il modo in cui affrontano la loro autostima infranta è sminuendo le altre persone

O uno che li aumenta, si vanta, li mette giù, li spegne,

contrastandoli in ogni modo possibile

Ora sembravo come quelle persone causano lì ovunque

Ma l'uomo ce ne sono di più?

Ci sono giuste, e penso che sia perché le persone che potrebbero essere state in qualche modo accese

il confine in questo modo è appena stato spinto oltre il limite dai social media

Tutto quanto

Questo è il nostro mondo, viviamo in un mondo in cui tutti criticano tutti

per tutto

Immaginalo

Come vorresti essere un adolescente ed essere criticato su tutto

Quella maglietta che hai indossato quel giorno, quella cosa imbarazzante che hai fatto solo una volta,

ma qualcuno l'ha visto

Ma non sei così carino o bello o forte o bravo negli sport come

quest'altra persona

Deve essere devastante, devastante

E ce n'è solo di più, perché è nella tua faccia e lo stai vedendo

immagini impossibili di persone a cui vorresti essere, ma non sei eccetera
