Ten Plagues -

«And he cast upon them the fierceness of his anger

Wrath and indignation, and trouble

A host of evil angels.»

(Psalms, 78:49)

Two brothers stand;

their eyes are caught with fire

They know no fear from the tyrant on the throne

A simple wish not granted, to worship for their god

There’s no compassion inside the Pharaoh’s heart of stone

Blood consumes the waters;

tainting red the sacred Nile

The rancid stench of death harbors winds for miles

The cities and the temples, flooded now with frogs

And their croaking lasted days until Moses gave his word

The Pharaoh’s slender patience was reducing with each night

But to free the hebrew slaves was an unimaginable right

Though the word that spread in Egypt was speaking of the awe

That was penetrating slowly about a God they do not know

A host of evil angels — each has a different sword

Striking down at Egypt in the name on the One and Only God

By the brandish of the staff a cloud of dust arises

Carried by the desert wind and turning into lice

Harming none in goshen, infecting with their woe

A gathering of verming collide against the hebrew’s foes

God presents severity like never seen before

His words to Moses rumbles like the distand thunder roar

The pestilence and sickness that stroke the heathen fold

Are the labor pains of freedom taking out their toll?

Storming down with holy anger

Rain of fire destroys all

Unending swarms of god sent Furies

Covering the suns in whole

AARON:

«Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, let my people go, that they may hold a

feast unto me in the wilderness»

PHARAOH:

«Who is the Lord, that I shoul obey his voice to let the Israel go?»

AARON:

«The God of the Hebrews hath with us»

PHARAOH:

«Get thee from me!

Take heed to thyself, see my face no more;

for in that day

thou see my face… thou shall die!»

MOSES:

«My Lord, master of the universe

Flesh and blood when He comes down to rage war

His ministers and servants surrounding him in all his glory.

And you supreme

king od kings, judge us for we are your servants and they are your allies.

Come and rage war with them, hallowed be the name of God…

For ever and ever!»

The Pharaoh’s heart was stubborn

But the grief was greater than his will

By taking every first born

Entire Egypt chilled

«E gettò su di loro l'ardore della sua ira

Ira e indignazione e guai

Una schiera di angeli malvagi.»

(Salmi, 78:49)

Due fratelli stanno in piedi;

i loro occhi sono presi dal fuoco

Non conoscono la paura del tiranno sul trono

Un semplice desiderio non esaudito, adorare il loro dio

Non c'è compassione nel cuore di pietra del Faraone

Il sangue consuma le acque;

macchiando di rosso il sacro Nilo

Il puzzo rancido della morte porta i venti per miglia

Le città ei templi, ora inondati di rane

E il loro gracidare durò giorni finché Mosè non diede la sua parola

La snella pazienza del Faraone si riduceva ogni notte

Ma liberare gli schiavi ebrei era un diritto inimmaginabile

Anche se la parola diffusa in Egitto parlava di timore reverenziale

Stava penetrando lentamente su un Dio che non conoscono

Una schiera di angeli malvagi, ognuno ha una spada diversa

Colpire l'Egitto nel nome dell'Unico e Solo Dio

Dal brandire del personale si alza una nuvola di polvere

Portato dal vento del deserto e trasformandosi in pidocchi

Non facendo del male a nessuno, infettando con il loro dolore

Un raduno di verming si scontra con i nemici dell'ebraico

Dio presenta severità come mai vista prima

Le sue parole a Mosè rimbombano come il ruggito di un tuono lontano

La pestilenza e la malattia che accarezzano l'ovile pagano

Le doglie della libertà si stanno esaurendo?

Abbattere con santa rabbia

Pioggia di fuoco distrugge tutto

Sciami infiniti di dio inviarono Furie

Coprendo i soli in tutto

AARON:

«Così dice il Signore, Dio d'Israele, lascia andare il mio popolo, perché tenga a

banchettami nel deserto»

FARAONE:

«Chi è il Signore, perché io ubbidisca alla sua voce per lasciare andare Israele?»

AARON:

«Il Dio degli Ebrei ha con noi»

FARAONE:

«Togliti da me!

Bada a te stesso, non vedere più la mia faccia;

per quel giorno

tu vedi il mio volto... morirai!»

MOSÉ:

«Mio Signore, padrone dell'universo

Carne e sangue quando scende a scatenare la guerra

I suoi ministri e servitori lo circondano in tutta la sua gloria.

E tu supremo

re dei re, giudicaci perché noi siamo tuoi servi e loro sono tuoi alleati.

Vieni a scatenare guerra con loro, sia santificato il nome di Dio...

Per sempre!"

Il cuore del Faraone era ostinato

Ma il dolore era più grande della sua volontà

Prendendo ogni primogenito

L'intero Egitto si è raffreddato
