One Day, After School - Arab Strap

I said with me around she’d never come to harm

And then she took a fork and stabbed herself in the arm

She used to wank me off but I could never heat her up

And she use to tell all her friends that I beat her up

I went round to her house one day after, after school

She’d bought me this steel ladybird thing, it was really cool

And then she said she thought there was no future for us

She chucked me then, chucked me out, and I cried all over the bus

And that sunday was my first experience of feeling alone

When she wouldn’t answer her door and she wouldn’t answer her phone

So I went round and banged on the door, I thought I had so much to say

And then the pigs came and told me to be on my way

It’d be nice to say then that that’s where the story ends

But she came way with some pish about still being friends

And she seemed sincere so I thought I’d give her a chance

And it was okay until I found her with her hand down someone elses pants

I pulled them apart, it was all I could think to do

Then another guy she knew flew to her rescue

He tried to kick my head in to impress her, cause he was trying to poke her

I came home greeting and bleeding

And my mum threatened to go round to her house and choke her

E poi ha preso una forchetta e si è pugnalata al braccio

Mi faceva una sega ma non potevo mai scaldarla

E diceva a tutti i suoi amici che l'ho picchiata

Sono andato a casa sua un giorno dopo, dopo la scuola

Mi aveva comprato questa coccinella d'acciaio, era davvero fantastica

E poi ha detto che pensava che non ci fosse futuro per noi

Poi mi ha buttato fuori, mi ha buttato fuori e io ho pianto per tutto l'autobus

E quella domenica è stata la mia prima esperienza di sentirmi sola

Quando non rispondeva alla sua porta e non rispondeva al telefono

Quindi sono andato in giro e ho bussato alla porta, ho pensato di avere così tanto da dire

E poi sono venuti i maiali e mi hanno detto di andare per la mia strada

Sarebbe bello dire che è lì che finisce la storia

Ma è arrivata con un po' di pietà per essere ancora amici

E sembrava sincera, quindi ho pensato di darle una possibilità

Ed è andato tutto bene finché non l'ho trovata con la mano nei pantaloni di qualcun altro

Li ho smontati, era tutto ciò che potevo pensare di fare

Poi un altro ragazzo che conosceva è volato in suo aiuto

Ha provato a prendermi a calci in testa per impressionarla, perché stava cercando di colpirla

Sono tornato a casa salutando e sanguinando

E mia madre ha minacciato di andare a casa sua e di soffocarla
