The same people kept talking to the same people they did every time they came

With the same 'hello's and the same 'let's find a corner'

The same food was laid out and the same people were the first to tuck in

The same child that was the only child there, didn’t ask any questions

The only thing that didn’t seem the same were the wine glasses.

seemed to have gotten wider, and taller

This time I didn’t ask for a fruit juice.

This time I needed a glass of wine

This time my throat was sore

This time I asked my parent’s friends for fire.

This time, they didn’t joke

about it

The same people that recognised me from last year almost said hello.

The same person who remembered me as a child told me that he did.

Someone said

«you've grown»

Someone else said «you haven’t changed.»

A lady in the room who had dated all the important men in the room I’d never

seen before.

Before I worked this out I thought she was beautiful.

But now I just think she’s cool

This time I rejected taking the canvas bag that was offered at the exit as a

freebie.

It was the same as last time, and the time before that

Inside is a thin magazine wrapped in plastic and I always open it but never

read it.

The magazine last year had an ice cream on it.

This time it has a

tulip on it

I don’t care about the picture, because I wish inside the bag, was a cupcake

The people that thought the show was great kept saying the word 'great'

The people that didn’t had left

The people that pretended to went to the bar

The people who tried to work this out watched who gave time looking

One day I dream of having a sports car that is too big to park in most places

Le stesse persone continuavano a parlare con le stesse persone che facevano ogni volta che venivano

Con gli stessi "buongiorno" e lo stesso "troviamo un angolo"

Lo stesso cibo è stato preparato e le stesse persone sono state le prime a infilarsi dentro

Lo stesso bambino che era l'unico lì, non ha fatto domande

L'unica cosa che non sembrava la stessa erano i bicchieri da vino.

Gli occhiali

sembrava essere diventato più largo e più alto

Questa volta non ho chiesto un succo di frutta.

Questa volta ho bisogno di un bicchiere di vino

Questa volta mi faceva male la gola

Questa volta ho chiesto il fuoco agli amici dei miei genitori.

Questa volta non hanno scherzato

Le stesse persone che mi hanno riconosciuto dall'anno scorso hanno quasi salutato.

La stessa persona che si ricordava di me da bambino mi ha detto di sì.

Qualcuno ha detto

«sei cresciuto»

Qualcun altro ha detto «non sei cambiato».

Una signora nella stanza che era uscita con tutti gli uomini importanti nella stanza non l'avrei mai vista

visto prima.

Prima di risolvere questo problema, pensavo che fosse bellissima.

Ma ora penso solo che sia bella

Questa volta ho rifiutato di prendere la borsa di tela che mi era stata offerta all'uscita come a

omaggio.

Era lo stesso dell'ultima volta e di quella precedente

Dentro c'è una rivista sottile avvolta nella plastica e la apro sempre ma mai

leggilo.

La rivista l'anno scorso aveva un gelato.

Non mi interessa la foto, perché vorrei che dentro la borsa ci fosse un cupcake

Le persone che pensavano che lo spettacolo fosse fantastico continuavano a dire la parola "fantastico"

Le persone che non se ne erano andate

Le persone che fingevano di andare al bar

Le persone che hanno cercato di risolvere questo problema hanno osservato chi ha dedicato tempo a guardare

Tutti sono così divertenti

Tutti quelli che mi piacciono, le auto

Un giorno sogno di avere un'auto sportiva troppo grande per essere parcheggiata nella maggior parte dei posti
