Down On the Farm - Camel

Every Sunday morning, before daybreak

Down upon the farm, on the fishpond

All the little ducks, they go paddling

Look out goldfish your for breakfast

Sunday morning hear the churchbells ringing

High up in the trees the birds were singing

In the dewey grass spiders spinning

Rooster calls and cocks his doodle

All around the farm animals stirring

Through the morning mist the bulls are beefing

In the grassy meadows cows are munching

Daisy Bell it’s time for milking

There’s such a lot to be done on the farm

In the sunshine, and when it’s lunchtime

It’s hop down the pub for a pint

Back on the tractor to finish the plowing

Standing all alone, Fred the scarecrow

Hasn’t got a clue how the wheat grows

Doesn’t mind the rain, hates the cold though

Specially when those icewinds blow snow

All along the lane, bees are buzzing

Little furry things in hedgerows scurrying

In amongst the corn the bunnies are bouncing

Must have springs upon their feet

Behind the cowshed

The plowman is taking a peek

At the farmer’s daughter

Who’s hanging her undies in the sun

Better get on your boots and join us

Down on the farm

Down here on the farm

It’s a lovely day for country walking

The vicar’s on his bike, Billy’s skateboarding

The farmer and his dog out back shooting

The gun goes off and hits the tweeting (or: its stopped tweeting)

Lots of smelly stinks around the farmyard

Great big pile of shit behind the rhubarb

Sitting in his pram, baby bunting

Does a *BURP* and starts his grunting

Give him a drink, he’s gone pink

Wants his mummy, needs changing I think

Such a lot can be done on the farm

In the sunshine

And when it’s lunchtime

It’s hop down the pub for a pint

Sneak out the backway with Nelly the barmaid

To the woods

Ogni domenica mattina, prima dell'alba

Giù alla fattoria, allo stagno

Tutte le paperette, vanno a remare

Fai attenzione al tuo pesce rosso per colazione

Domenica mattina si sentono suonare le campane della chiesa

In alto tra gli alberi cantavano gli uccelli

Nella rugiada i ragni dell'erba girano

Gallo chiama e arma il suo doodle

Tutto intorno gli animali della fattoria si agitano

Nella foschia mattutina i tori stanno rincorrendo

Nei prati erbosi le mucche sgranocchiano

Daisy Bell è ora di mungere

C'è così tanto da fare nella fattoria

Sotto il sole e quando è ora di pranzo

Scendi al pub per una pinta

Torna sul trattore per terminare l'aratura

In piedi tutto solo, Fred lo spaventapasseri

Non ha idea di come cresce il grano

Non importa la pioggia, odia il freddo però

Specialmente quando quei venti di ghiaccio soffiano neve

Lungo tutto il vicolo, le api ronzano

Piccole cose pelose tra le siepi che si affrettano

Tra il mais i conigli rimbalzano

Devono avere delle molle ai loro piedi

Dietro la stalla

Il contadino sta dando un'occhiata

Alla figlia del contadino

Chi sta appendendo le sue mutande al sole

È meglio che indossi gli stivali e unisciti a noi

Giù alla fattoria

Quaggiù alla fattoria

È una bella giornata per le passeggiate in campagna

Il vicario è sulla sua bicicletta, Billy è sullo skateboard

Il contadino e il suo cane sul retro sparano

La pistola si spegne e colpisce il tweeting (oppure: ha smesso di tweettare)

Un sacco di puzzolenti nell'aia

Grande mucchio di merda dietro il rabarbaro

Seduto nella sua carrozzina, baby bunting

Fa un *BURP* e inizia a grugnire

Dagli da bere, è diventato rosa

Vuole la sua mamma, ha bisogno di cambiare, credo

Si può fare tanto nella fattoria

Sotto il sole

E quando è ora di pranzo

Scendi al pub per una pinta
