Beams of heaven as i go

Through the wilderness below

Guide my feet in peaceful ways

Harder yet may be the fight;

Right may often yield to might;

Wickedness a while may reign;

Satan’s cause may seem to gain

There is a god that rules above

With hand of power and heart of love;

If i am right, he’ll fight my battle

I shall have peace someday

Disappointments all around;

Troubles speak in mournful sigh

Sorrow through a tear-stained eye

There is a world where pleasure reigns

No mourning soul shall roam its plains

Ancora più difficile potrebbe essere la lotta;

Il diritto può spesso cedere al potere;

La malvagità può regnare per qualche tempo;

La causa di Satana può sembrare vincente

C'è un dio che regna in alto

Con la mano del potere e il cuore dell'amore;

Se ho ragione, combatterà la mia battaglia

Un giorno avrò la pace

I fardelli ora potrebbero schiacciarmi 

Delusioni tutt'intorno;

I problemi parlano in un sospiro triste

Dolore attraverso un occhio macchiato di lacrime

C'è un mondo in cui regna il piacere

Nessuna anima in lutto vagherà per le sue pianure

E a quella terra di pace e gloria

Voglio andare un giorno
