Bathtub - Cokie the Clown

I only slept three hours, after I’d been up for 48

I rolled over to hold my love, then realized I was all alone

I decided to get up, because I heard the Postal Service

And that was something she never shared with me

She probably was just outside smoking a cigarette

I took off my high heels and looked around the suite

But I had to take a piss first, that’s when I saw her in the bathtub

There’s no way to describe the sense of dread

When you’re not sure if the person you love the most is still alive or dead

She was just floating there

Her eyes were closed but her mouth was full of water

My heart stopped I dropped to my knees and got her out

I couldn’t understand, was this something that she had planned?

How could she

do this to herself and

To all of us?

If I had woken up 5 minutes later…

Ho dormito solo tre ore, dopo che ero stato sveglio per 48

Mi sono girato per tenere il mio amore, poi ho capito che ero tutto solo

Ho deciso di alzarmi, perché ho sentito il servizio postale

Mi sono tolto i tacchi alti e mi sono guardato intorno nella suite

Ma prima dovevo pisciare, è stato allora che l'ho vista nella vasca da bagno

Non c'è modo di descrivere il senso di terrore

Quando non sei sicuro che la persona che ami di più sia ancora viva o morta

Stava semplicemente galleggiando lì

I suoi occhi erano chiusi ma la sua bocca era piena d'acqua

Il mio cuore si è fermato, sono caduto in ginocchio e l'ho tirata fuori

Non riuscivo a capire, era qualcosa che aveva pianificato?
