So they sprinkled it with stardust just to make the shamrocks grow

Then they dotted it with silver to make its lakes so grand

And when they had it finished sure they called it Ireland…

Perché ecco come la mia cara vecchia madre mi ha raccontato la storia.

Sicuramente un giorno un po' di paradiso cadde dal cielo

E si è adagiato sull'oceano in un punto così lontano

E gli angeli lo trovarono sicuramente sembrava così dolce e leale

Hanno detto che supponiamo di lasciarlo perché sembra così tranquillo lì.

Quindi l'hanno cosparso di polvere di stelle solo per far crescere i trifogli

È l'unico posto in cui li troverai, non importa dove vai

Poi l'hanno punteggiata d'argento per rendere i suoi laghi così grandiosi

E quando l'hanno fatto sicuramente l'hanno chiamato Irlanda...
