Leviathan - Covenant

I watch minutes grow to hours, and how seasons builds the ages,

every winter dies in sunlight, only to be born again

and the rainfall feeds the forests while the lightning strikesthe trees

turning giants into dust fertile ashes on the ground

i see them going down to the water

where they embrace the silent waves

slowly they’re swallowed by the water

and their breath ascending to the sky

i see them now floating in the water

carried away, carried away

i see wasteland turn into gardens watching oceans giving birth

to fragile little creatures born to grow and multiply

and the children of the children of the firstborn claims theland

building fences for protection from their brothers greedy grasp

i watch kingdom rise and crumble and the nations come and go

only new names for the same things once the limits has beenreached

now i see them lose their intrest in trhe deeds that have beendone

and the wisdom that’s been found, as they return whence theycame.

Guardo i minuti che diventano ore e come le stagioni costruiscono le età,

ogni inverno muore alla luce del sole, solo per rinascere

e la pioggia alimenta le foreste mentre il fulmine colpisce gli alberi

trasformando i giganti in polvere, ceneri fertili sul terreno

li vedo scendere in acqua

dove abbracciano le onde silenziose

lentamente vengono inghiottiti dall'acqua

e il loro respiro sale al cielo

ora li vedo galleggiare nell'acqua

portato via, portato via

Vedo la terra desolata trasformarsi in giardini guardando gli oceani che partoriscono

a piccole creature fragili nate per crescere e moltiplicarsi

e i figli dei figli dei primogeniti rivendicano la terra

costruendo recinzioni per proteggersi dai loro fratelli avidi

guardo il regno sorgere e sgretolarsi e le nazioni vanno e vengono

solo nuovi nomi per le stesse cose una volta raggiunti i limiti

ora li vedo perdere il loro interesse per le azioni che sono state fatte

e la saggezza che è stata trovata, mentre tornano da dove sono venuti.
