People these days we just can’t get it right

We need to something to help us get it right

Some they will say that with faith He will save

Well, I just don’t know He seems to only take

If someone like Daniel could shed some light

Well that would be great I think we’d all agree

If someone like Daniel could be thrown to the lions

And by the Lord be saved, I wish he’d shed some light

Well, someone like Vicky could have done with the news

Of how to get it right, how to make the Lord choose

To save her like Daniel from the clutch of disease

They laid their hands on her, they prayed on bended knee

Or someone like John whose cancer spread through his skin

Surely Jesus would save a godly man like him

Well he passed away December Twenty-Fifth

Despite the prayers of his church and of his wife and kids

People these days we just can’t get it right
