Standing room only, not even room to kneel and pray

Standing room only on the Judgement Day

Last night I have an awful dream that the end of time had come

The trumpet had been sounded and life on earth has done

An angel stood, one foot on land the other foot on sea

And as I tried to kneel and pray a voice said unto me

There’s standing room only, it’s too late now to pray

There’s standing room only, this is the Judgement Day

People filled each church and churchyard

Just as far as I could see

I heard the pityful cry for mercy and then I realized it was me

I saw the Saviour did appear as he split the eastern sky

I saw tears of joy on a Christian’s face and I heard the sinners cry

And as I tried to touch his hand with one last people plea

I cried again have mercy, have mercy Lord on me

I saw a tear come to his eye as he turned my soul away

I didn’t know him yesterday and he knew me not today

The earth was burning all around

The world wound up in smoke

And as the flames came off me

Thank God I awoke

Then I got out of bed and got down on my knees

And you should’ve heard me pray

For in my dream I witnessed God’s great Judgement Day

Standing room only on God’s great Judgement Day…

La scorsa notte ho fatto un terribile sogno in cui era arrivata la fine dei tempi

La tromba era stata suonata e la vita sulla terra è finita

Un angelo stava in piedi, un piede sulla terra e l'altro sul mare

E mentre cercavo di inginocchiarmi e pregare, una voce mi disse

C'è solo posto in piedi, ora è troppo tardi per pregare

C'è solo posto in piedi, questo è il Giorno del Giudizio

La gente ha riempito ogni chiesa e cimitero

Per quanto potevo vedere

Ho sentito il pietoso grido di pietà e poi ho capito che ero io

Ho visto il Salvatore apparire mentre fendeva il cielo orientale

Ho visto lacrime di gioia sul volto di un cristiano e ho sentito i peccatori piangere

E mentre cercavo di toccargli la mano con un'ultima supplica

Ho pianto di nuovo abbi pietà, abbi pietà Signore di me

Ho visto una lacrima salirgli agli occhi mentre allontanava la mia anima

I non lo conoscevo ieri e lui non mi conosceva oggi

La terra bruciava tutt'intorno

Il mondo è finito in fumo

E mentre le fiamme si staccavano da me

Grazie a Dio mi svegliai

Poi sono scesa dal letto e mi sono messa in ginocchio

E avresti dovuto sentirmi pregare

Perché nel mio sogno ho assistito al grande Giorno del Giudizio di Dio
