A Different Vision - Death Is Not Glamorous

Ashamed of myself for walking right by.

I stare need in the face, yet I turn a blind eye.

Safe, behind my window.

Safe inside my headphones.

Overwhelmed by the wetness of my eyes.

It seems I’m stuck on the autopilot I despise.

One where i offer no kind words, no helping hands.

And it’s so much worse, because I have so much to give.

I don’t need to understand the reality of being born addicted.

Alone.

Sleeping in cardboard homes.

A reality devoid of kindness.

I’m safe in blindness.

Cool, behind my window.

Safe inside my headphones.

Overwhelmed by the selfish wasteland of this life.

'Yet my heart, in this barren desert,

wishes for a different vision.'

One where we see every side and aren’t paralysed by apathy.

No division.

True equality.

One where we open up and

recognize that we all share the same necessities in this life.

I won’t freeze you out.

This world is cold enough.

I’ll play no part in this world of walls.

Diligent until they fall.

We all suffer in this life.

We’re all struggling to survive.

Mi vergogno di me stesso per essere passato.

Fisso il bisogno in faccia, eppure chiudo gli occhi.

Al sicuro, dietro la mia finestra.

Al sicuro dentro le mie cuffie.

Sopraffatto dall'umidità dei miei occhi.

Sembra che io sia bloccato sul pilota automatico che disprezzo.

Uno in cui non offro parole gentili, nessuna mano amica.

Ed è molto peggio, perché ho così tanto da dare.

Non ho bisogno di capire la realtà di nascere dipendente.

Solo.

Dormire in case di cartone.

Una realtà priva di gentilezza.

Sono al sicuro nella cecità.

Fantastico, dietro la mia finestra.

Al sicuro dentro le mie cuffie.

Sopraffatto dal deserto egoistico di questa vita.

'Eppure il mio cuore, in questo deserto arido,

auguri per una visione diversa.'

Uno in cui vediamo ogni lato e non siamo paralizzati dall'apatia.

Nessuna divisione.

Vera uguaglianza.

Uno in cui apriamo e

riconoscere che condividiamo tutti le stesse necessità in questa vita.

Non ti congelerò.

Questo mondo è abbastanza freddo.

Non farò alcun ruolo in questo mondo di muri.

Diligente finché non cadono.

Tutti noi soffriamo in questa vita.

Stiamo tutti lottando per sopravvivere.
