It’s a shame about Roger

Such a shame about him

He’s only looking for a good time

He wasn’t into that power dealer thing

And five years is a long time to go down

He’s used to having friends like us around

He didn’t mean to screw up some teenage life

He’s only being nice

Shame about Mandy

Such a shame about her

She’s only using her initiative

That money was more, so I’ve heard

And fifteen grand’s a lot to most of us

But she had some problems she still won’t discuss

She didn’t mean to rip off this pensioner

She had a lot to do it do

I’m not being all-righteous or correct

But the Jesus lover really gets down my neck

And I’m waiting for the world to change for me

And it’s a shame about Dennis

Such a shame about him

All that work he did for homeless people, now

They never mentioned it when they sent him down

And thirteen people’s a lot to kill

You never hear that some of them were ill

And no one, he only came to clear their drinks

And now he’s in the hall of fame
