Emerald Earth - Dødsengel

Forever did I lie, dreaming

Forever did I walk, slumbering

A restless sleep, a waking dream

A world of grey and unrest

My heart rebelled against this dull horror

Yet my mind could conceive of nothing else

These eyes beheld nothing but grey dust

And my tongue could taste nothing but ashes

Yet from this nothing arose a lotus

Its petals golden and blue through the anguish which revealed an emerald earth

In this lies a great mystery

None was the initiator and nought was the offering

Nothingness revealed a hidden fire

Fresh eyes to the blind

None awoke the dreamer and there was no dream

Nothing kissed my brow and raised my eyes

Nothing took me by the hand and led me

We entered the portal

We passed through the watchtowers

We left the world of grey marionettes and shells

And the world gladdened into green at her coming

And i beheld the emerald earth

Per sempre ho mentito, sognando

Per sempre ho camminato, addormentato

Un sonno irrequieto, un sogno ad occhi aperti

Un mondo di grigio e disordini

Il mio cuore si ribellò a questo orrore sordo

Eppure la mia mente non riusciva a concepire nient'altro

Questi occhi non vedevano altro che polvere grigia

E la mia lingua non sapeva altro che cenere

Eppure da questo non è sorto nulla di loto

I suoi petali dorati e azzurri attraverso l'angoscia che rivelava una terra color smeraldo

In questo si nasconde un grande mistero

Nessuno era l'iniziatore e nulla era l'offerta

Il nulla ha rivelato un fuoco nascosto

Occhi freschi ai ciechi

Nessuno ha svegliato il sognatore e non c'era nessun sogno

Niente mi baciò la fronte e alzò gli occhi

Niente mi ha preso per mano e mi ha guidato

Siamo entrati nel portale

Siamo passati per le torri di avvistamento

Abbiamo lasciato il mondo delle marionette e delle conchiglie grigie

E il mondo si rallegrava diventando verde alla sua venuta

E guardai la terra di smeraldo
