Time - Dr. Syntax

Time is on my hands

I’ve got plans that reach beyond

What’s already been and gone

So I’m trying to see beyond

All my present setbacks

While I’m still keen and young

Put my soul into every project I’m featured on

I could write a list and it’d be a metre long

Stating all the opportunities that I believe will come

Where’s the sound advice when people speak in tongues?

Many think they tell it right when they should be keeping Mum

Silence!

I prefer to carve my own path

Learn the hard way: drop the odd faux pas

Don’t laugh!

Doing what you want is so hard

And you won’t be mustering a hot response with no graft:

Most can’t, find a way to show class

Stuck in stormy waters without a Coast Guard

Have a crack at life: catch it while it goes past

Get your plan revised, if you slack, you won’t pass

Time won’t stop x3

Even if I ask nicely

I’ll have the time of my life in my life and times

No time to revise how to write guidelines

I’ve picked a fine time to make the limelight right

Fully mine, live, in my prime, riding the high

Until we make what we’re pie in the sky

Pipe dreams seem likely: I’m biding my time

On fire like pyrotechnics, defying a sceptic

Proving that I’m time effective

I’ll grip tight when there’s time on my hands

And try and think wise when devising a scam

Trying to fathom how my dice are likely to land

And when it comes time to expand and push boundaries

When I put out releases

It sounds crazy;

many could vouch for me

So look out for me, 'cos I look bound to be

A figure of the times who just found his niche

I would rather snatch a far-fetched fantasy, as it flew free

Than sit back in apathy and have it elude me

But do see, how I’m only grabbing it loosely

And duly, sending it back when it suits me

In pursuit of elusive dreams

Use of reason is superseded by human greed

We’re a youthful breed, with consumer needs

That spends out long before it’s accrued the means

Stop acting like a clueless teen

Always living for the minute is a fruitless feat

Take time out for soothing sleep

Set your mood at ease

Or descend into lunacy

Yes a boost is a boost but

Too much speed leaves your goose in a stew

Till you lose the heat

Make time for tomfoolery

But make sure life’s crucial pieces are fused congruently

Dai una svolta alla vita: coglila mentre passa

Fai rivedere il tuo piano, se sei lento, non passerai

Il tempo non si fermerà x3

Anche se lo chiedo gentilmente

Avrò il tempo della mia vita nella mia vita e nei miei tempi

Non c'è tempo per rivedere come scrivere le linee guida

Ho scelto un bel momento per accendere le luci della ribalta

Completamente mio, vivo, nel fiore degli anni, cavalcando l'alto

Finché non facciamo ciò che siamo una torta nel cielo

I sogni irrealizzabili sembrano probabili: sto aspettando il mio tempo

In fuoco come fuochi d'artificio, sfidando uno scettico

Dimostrando che sono efficace nel tempo

Terrò forte quando avrò tempo a disposizione

E cerca di pensare in modo saggio quando escogiti una truffa

Sto cercando di capire come è probabile che i miei dadi cadano

E quando arriva il momento di espandersi e spingersi oltre i limiti

Quando pubblico le pubblicazioni

Sembra pazzesco;

molti potrebbero garantire per me

Quindi abbi cura di me, perché sembro destinata a esserlo

Una figura dei tempi che ha appena trovato la sua nicchia

Preferirei catturare una fantasia inverosimile, poiché volava libera

Quindi siediti nell'apatia e lascia che mi sfugga

Ma vedi, come lo afferro solo vagamente

E debitamente, rispedendolo quando mi fa comodo

Alla ricerca di sogni sfuggenti

L'uso della ragione è sostituito dall'avidità umana

Siamo una razza giovane, con esigenze di consumo

Che spende molto prima di aver accumulato i mezzi

Smettila di comportarti come un adolescente incapace

Vivere sempre per il minuto è un'impresa infruttuosa

Prenditi del tempo per dormire bene

Metti a tuo agio il tuo umore

O scendi nella follia

Sì, una spinta è una spinta ma

Troppa velocità lascia la tua oca in uno stufato

Finché non perdi il calore

Trova il tempo per le sciocchezze

Ma assicurati che i pezzi cruciali della vita siano fusi in modo congruente
