Urban Wilderness - Emerger

There is a mountain in my town

Rising up between two oceans

It is the keeper of a gateway

Leading to a flood of emotions

And I could sit here forever

Listening as the wind keeps calling my name

Between the grasslands and the thorn trees

Figuring out what it’s trying to say

I’m losing my heart in an urban wilderness

Trying to find my way in this town

I’m holding on to these signs of happiness

While I’m keeping my head in the clouds

I see the first light of the sunrise

Striking the crest of the shore break

Along the coastline, under blue skies

We’ll be skipping stones 'til daybreak

And I could sit here forever

Watching as the shadows grow tall

Between the city and the three peaks

The Southern Cross appears at nightfall
