She rose out of her bed and slipped in

Something forced her to go outside

So she went on the glad.

The coldness, the dark grass under her feet

Then she rose her head and her hands

Heavenward and whispered

She:

You — whose light steers my way

You — whose shy beams took me here

You — whose face vanishes by day

You — who fulfills my dreams

The Moon:

My dear.

I created the night to open my heart

Just to the initiated.

But also I know those with

A lack of appreciation.

They don’t know what

They miss

She fell on her knees and closed her eyes

She drew a deep breath of the cold night air
