A boy walks down a city road

Passed strangers and riverboats

He boards a train, to anywhere

He leaves his mother and his home

He left with pictures in his head

Memories enough to breathe life to the dead

He asks me where I am going to

But I donʼt even know where I have come from yet

In the first degree above

I am here for the escape

Swallows nest in other caves

Rested far away from all of us

Bruised and beaten in the fog

Throughout the forest fall the driftwood logs

and I take rest upon the waterfall

As the river flows slowly on

I left with pictures in my head

Memories enough to breathe life to the dead

I know exactly where Iʼm going to

And how I want my life to end

In the first degree above

I am here for the escape

He makes his home

Un ragazzo cammina lungo una strada cittadina

Stranieri passati e battelli fluviali

Sale a bordo di un treno, diretto ovunque

Lascia sua madre e la sua casa

Se n'è andato con delle immagini in testa

Ricordi sufficienti per dare vita ai morti

Mi chiede dove sto andando

Ma non so nemmeno da dove vengo ancora

Nel primo grado sopra

Sono qui per la fuga

Le rondini nidificano in altre grotte

Riposato lontano da tutti noi

Contuso e picchiato nella nebbia

In tutta la foresta cadono i tronchi di legno galleggiante

e mi riposo sulla cascata

Mentre il fiume scorre lentamente

Me ne sono andato con delle immagini nella mia testa

Ricordi sufficienti per dare vita ai morti

So esattamente dove sto andando

E come voglio che la mia vita finisca

Nel primo grado sopra

Sono qui per la fuga
