fintanto che prometti ad Allah che non lo ripeterai

quindi tieniti stretto alle tue buone azioni amici

e fino alla fine

la vita di questo mondo non è altro che divertente

gioco e divertimento

finché non è finita

non riporre la tua fede in questa vita

non riporre le tue speranze in questo mondo

non per un cielo pieno di stelle

non per un oceano di perle

se ci fossero deserti di diamanti

se ci fossero montagne d'oro

se ci fossero pezzi di platino delle dimensioni del globo

non sarebbe paragonabile alla luce della tua anima

più lo raffini

più è luminoso

vogliono che tu ti perda nell'oscurità

vogliono che il tuo cuore sia freddo

vogliono che tu lo segua ciecamente

finché la tua bara non sarà chiusa

è difficile essere un adolescente musulmano nell'estremo ovest

ma devo confessare

che la vita sono solo momenti registrati insieme con del nastro adesivo

e se devo scrivere un modo ti trovo sempre subito

Voglio trovare il mio significato nelle poesie che compongo

voglio trovare la vita ma invece ho perso la speranza

ho avvolto i miei sogni dietro le nuvole nel cielo

non ho mai tenuto conto dei raggi del sole

e quando penso a Dio dico sempre che andrà bene

perché con ogni nuova alba arriva un'alba luminosa

e sto scrivendo questo per l'esercito che vive nel tuo cuore

questo è per il bambino che ha bisogno di forza

per quella giovane sorella che voleva solo cambiare
