Just Anyone - Fuchsia

By the crowded highway stands the brightly painted sign

Where each way points the same way leading, blind man to decide

In the doorway looking for the sun that failed to shine

A tramp will either laugh or breathe a sigh.

The silver-plated eagle glares out from the mansion wall

Upon the passing stillborn soldier who can only fall

When all has gone by the wayside, scourged by what he’s done

Beyond Nirvana, each is all and one.

Dazed and wondering… find someone

Is there anybody out there?

Just anyone?

Misplaced grooms in bedsit rooms hide from the warning gun

The white dove flies toward the mountain under a waning sun

The plaster cracks and disappears and when all’s said and done

You’re there to die alone or carry on.

In the senseless crowd you pass, someone in whom you hide

If only for a moment till you reach the other side

You raise your arms to make a sign to show the hour has come

But you’re alone and everyone has gone.

Dazed and wondering… find someone

Is there anybody out there?

Just anyone?

Accanto all'autostrada affollata si trova l'insegna dai colori vivaci

Dove ogni via punta allo stesso modo, conducendo un cieco a decidere

Sulla soglia in cerca del sole che non splendeva

Un vagabondo riderà o respirerà un sospiro.

L'aquila argentata risplende dal muro del palazzo

Sul soldato morto di passaggio che può solo cadere

Quando tutto è andato per la strada, flagellato da ciò che ha fatto

Al di là del Nirvana, ognuno è tutto e uno.

Stordito e chiedendosi... trova qualcuno

C'è qualcuno là fuori?

Solo chiunque?

Gli sposi fuori posto nelle camere da letto si nascondono dalla pistola di avvertimento

La colomba bianca vola verso la montagna sotto un sole calante

L'intonaco si incrina e scompare e quando tutto è stato detto e fatto

Sei lì per morire da solo o andare avanti.

Nella folla insensata a cui passi, qualcuno in cui ti nascondi

Se solo per un momento fino a raggiungere l'altro lato

Alzi le braccia per fare un segno per mostrare che è giunta l'ora

Ma sei solo e se ne sono andati tutti.

Stordito e chiedendosi... trova qualcuno
