I guarantee you when it comes to girls it’s something real nice

Because I was straight lounging in this jazz store for records

Peeped this very fine lady and thought damn I have to check her

I had one eye on this honey the other in the jazz selection

Her skin was a kind of caramel toffee complexion

I thought that I was dreaming, slapped myself DL wake up

The type of girl, who looked so fine and didn’t put on make up

And I was bugged out;

And by the time I calmed down she was leaving the store

But damn she had this innocence in her eyes

So I proceed out the store, check it I’m getting older

Ran up a few yards and gently tapped her on the shoulder

Because my nose was hooked on this faint smell of coco butter

Her was slick back relaxed and mad straight

When I finally spoke I said hold up wait

Who are you with?

A couple of things I must be knowing

What’s those seven numbers you got but no I couldn’t sweat

Because this girl was so fine I called her Soul Silhouette

Her voice was cute and sounded sweet like a fruit

I hope she wasn’t the type that’s only out for loot

Because everything around me right now had now relevance

And when she spoke you could tell she spoke of intelligence

She got more soul than anybody I know

I can’t believe the way she looked and I was caught in her flow

Electrifying my soul, she said you fellow’s want to get with me

And even if you don’t you go around claiming you slept with me

I said you girl don’t even play me that way

And if you do not want to know me then honey that’s Ok

She kind of stopped me in my tracks because she knows the deal

Loved the way that I talked and the way it made her feel

Would have stopped in a second if those vibes were wack

And I could feel a little static with the eye contact

That I was writing this morning for my brand new track

La sua pelle era una sorta di carnagione caramellata al caramello

Ho pensato che stavo sognando, mi sono dato uno schiaffo DL al risveglio

Il tipo di ragazza, che sembrava così bella e non si truccava

E sono stato infastidito;

E quando mi sono calmato stava lasciando il negozio
