In the harvest field now ripened

Does the place you’re called to labor

It is great if God is in it,

Little is much when God is in it!

Labor not for wealth or fame;

There’s a crown, and you can win it,

If you go in Jesus' name.

When the conflict here is ended

And our race on earth is run,

He will say, if we are faithful,

«Welcome home, My child—well done!»

In the mad rush of the broad way,

In the hurry and the strife,

Tell of Jesus' love and mercy,

Give to them the Word of Life.

Are you laid aside from service,

Body worn from toil and care?

You can still be in the battle,

In the sacred place of prayer.

Non lavorare per ricchezza o fama;

C'è una corona e puoi vincerla

Se vai nel nome di Gesù.

Quando il conflitto qui sarà terminato

E la nostra corsa sulla terra è corsa,

Dirà, se siamo fedeli,

«Bentornato a casa, bambina Mia, ben fatto!»

Nella folle corsa della via larga,

Nella fretta e nella lotta,

Racconta dell'amore e della misericordia di Gesù,

Dai loro la Parola di Vita.

Sei messo da parte dal servizio,

Corpo consumato dalla fatica e dalle cure?

Puoi ancora essere in battaglia,

Nel luogo sacro della preghiera.
