The moon is nearly full

These old hills are full of light

The woman I love don’t want me

And people I just can’t feel right

I got a lot of friends

And they are so kind to me

But they’re just kind to a shadow

Of the man I used to be

She loves somebody else

That story’s older than the moon

I wrote my one little chapter

I hope to close the book real soon

Morning has to come

And the black sky turn to blue

She told me that she loved me

While she let another man come to her

The moon is nearly full

I only want to hold her tight

Until they put me under the ground

People, I ain’t never gonna feel right

La luna è quasi piena

Queste vecchie colline sono piene di luce

La donna che amo non mi vuole

E le persone che non riesco a sentire bene

Ho molti amici

E sono così gentili con me

Ma sono solo gentili con un'ombra

Dell'uomo che ero

Ama qualcun altro

Quella storia è più antica della luna

Ho scritto il mio piccolo capitolo

Spero di chiudere il libro molto presto

Il mattino deve venire

E il cielo nero diventa blu

Mi ha detto che mi amava

Mentre lei lasciava che un altro uomo venisse da lei

La luna è quasi piena

Voglio solo tenerla stretta

Finché non mi hanno messo sotto terra

Gente, non mi sentirò mai bene
