One of these nights, I wouldn’t be surprised

If even the old moon had to close her pretty eye —

We got so evil, I feel troubled tonight

This old world brought us all here

So why can’t we treat each other right

I was watching the TV in a motel and I had to turn away

Somebody killed a bunch of children, said it was about their godly way

My friend had a dream, it about made me cry

He said he saw two stone Buddhas rising where those towers had filled the sky

Peace on earth, when will it ever be in sight?

This old world is everybody’s beautiful home

So why can’t we treat each other right

If everyone is praying to whatever gods there may be

I’d say we all better pray to each other for forgiveness before we lose our

sanity

We got so evil…

Una di queste notti, non sarei sorpreso

Se anche la vecchia luna avesse dovuto chiudere il suo bel occhio...

Siamo diventati così malvagi che mi sento turbato stasera

Questo vecchio mondo ci ha portato tutti qui

Allora perché non possiamo trattarci bene?

Stavo guardando la TV in un motel e ho dovuto girarmi dall'altra parte

Qualcuno ha ucciso un gruppo di bambini, ha detto che si trattava della loro condotta divina

La mia amica ha fatto un sogno, mi ha fatto piangere

Disse di aver visto due Buddha di pietra sorgere dove quelle torri avevano riempito il cielo

Pace sulla terra, quando sarà mai in vista?

Questo vecchio mondo è la bella casa di tutti

Allora perché non possiamo trattarci bene?

Se tutti stanno pregando qualunque divinità possa esserci

Direi che è meglio che ci preghiamo l'un l'altro per il perdono prima di perdere il nostro

sanità mentale

Siamo così cattivi...
