One night, a man had a dream.

He dreamed he was walking along the beach with

the Lord.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.

For each scene,

he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand.

One belonged to him,

and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,

he looked back at the footprints in the sand, and he noticed that many times

along the path of his life, there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of his

life.

This really bothered him, and he questioned the Lord about it: «Lord,

you said that once I decided to follow you, you would walk with me all the way.

Yet I have noticed during the most troublesome times of my life,

there’s only one set of footprints.

I don’t understand why, when I needed you

most, you would leave me.»

The Lord replied: «My precious precious child, I love you, and would never

leave you.

During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set

of footprints, that must have been when I was appearing on…

The teenager awoke at mid day.

He walked into the back garden.

Everything was

peaceful except for the complaining note of the woodcrest dying in the leafy

thickness.

He walked up to the patio chair where his father sat

«Father?»

«Yes son?»

«I want to borrow your golf clubs.»

Una notte, un uomo fece un sogno.

Sognava di camminare lungo la spiaggia con lui

il Signore.

Attraverso il cielo balenò scene della sua vita.

Per ogni scena,

notò due serie di impronte nella sabbia.

Uno gli apparteneva,

e l'altro al Signore.

Quando l'ultima scena della sua vita gli balenò davanti,

guardò indietro alle impronte sulla sabbia e se ne accorse molte volte

lungo il percorso della sua vita, c'era solo una serie di impronte.

Ha anche notato che è successo nei suoi momenti più bassi e tristi

vita.

Questo lo infastidiva proprio, e ne interrogava il Signore: «Signore,

hai detto che una volta che avessi deciso di seguirti, avresti camminato con me fino in fondo.

Eppure ho notato durante i periodi più difficili della mia vita,

c'è solo una serie di impronte.

Non capisco perché, quando ho bisogno di te

la maggior parte, mi lasceresti.»

Il Signore rispose: «Mio prezioso, prezioso figlio, ti amo e non lo farei mai

lasciarti.

Durante i tuoi momenti di prova e sofferenza, quando vedi solo un set

di impronte, deve essere stato quando apparivo su...

L'adolescente si è svegliato a metà giornata.

Entrò nel giardino sul retro.

Tutto era

pacifico tranne che per la nota lamentosa della cresta di legno che muore tra le foglie

spessore.

Si avvicinò alla sedia del patio dove sedeva suo padre

"Padre?"

«Sì figlio?»

«Voglio prendere in prestito le tue mazze da golf.»
