The Battle of Armageddon - Hank Williams

There’s a mighty battle coming and its well now on its way.

It’ll be fought at Armageddon, it shall be a sad, sad day.

In the Book of Revelation, words in chapter sixteen say

There’ll be gathered there great armies for that battle on that day.

All the way from the gates of Eden to the Battle of Armageddon.

There’s been trouble, tribulation.

There’ll be sorrow and despair.

He has said «Ye be not troubled.

For these things shall come to pass»

Then your life will be eternal.

When you dwell with Him at last.

Turn the pages of your Bible, in St. Matthew you will see,

Start with chapter twenty-four and read from one to thirty-three.

In our Savior’s blessed words He said on earth, He prophesized,

For He spoke of this great battle that is coming by and by.

There’ll be nation against nation, there’ll be war and rumor of war.

There’ll be great signs in Heaven, in the sun, the moon, the stars.

Oh, the hearts of been shall fail them, there’ll be gnashing of the teeth.

Those who seek it will receive it, mercy at the Savior’s feet.

È in arrivo una potente battaglia e ora sta arrivando.

Si combatterà ad Armageddon, sarà un giorno triste, triste.

Nel Libro dell'Apocalisse, dicono le parole del capitolo sedici

Quel giorno verranno radunati grandi eserciti per quella battaglia.

Dalle porte dell'Eden alla battaglia di Armaghedon.

Ci sono stati problemi, tribolazioni.

Ci saranno dolore e disperazione.

Ha detto: «Non ti preoccupare.

Perché queste cose accadranno»

Allora la tua vita sarà eterna.

Quando finalmente dimori con Lui.

Volta le pagine della tua Bibbia, in San Matteo vedrai,

Inizia con il capitolo ventiquattro e leggi dall'uno al trentatré.

Nelle parole benedette del nostro Salvatore Egli disse sulla terra, profetizzò,

Perché ha parlato di questa grande battaglia che sta arrivando a poco a poco.

Ci sarà nazione contro nazione, ci saranno guerra e voci di guerra.

Ci saranno grandi segni in Cielo, nel sole, nella luna, nelle stelle.

Oh, i cuori degli stati verranno loro meno, ci sarà uno stridore di denti.

Coloro che lo cercheranno lo riceveranno, misericordia ai piedi del Salvatore.
