From Sinking - Isis

His time there so long

His fingers trace the endless walls he knew so well

And there the breaths were short and hard and thick with salt

And in this place he always knew he’d awake alone

Hands clutch in panic

In this place we built of sand homes that caved

The walls were weak with salty tears

Through the cracks in these walls he saw the sun

The sun dripped through the cracks and died

Shadows managed to betray

Like liquid was the sadness

Until into the light he stepped

In this truth he knew himself to be

From sinking sands he stepped into lights embrace

Le sue dita tracciano le infinite pareti che conosceva così bene

E lì i respiri erano brevi, duri e pieni di sale

E in questo posto ha sempre saputo che si sarebbe svegliato da solo

Le mani si stringono in preda al panico

In questo luogo abbiamo costruito con case di sabbia che sono crollate

Le pareti erano deboli di lacrime salate

Attraverso le fessure di questi muri vide il sole

Il sole gocciolava attraverso le fessure e si spense

Shadows è riuscita a tradire

Come liquido era la tristezza

Fino a quando non è entrato nella luce

In questa verità sapeva di essere
