I woke up and on the wall I saw light

It looked just like a lake

But it scared me

I don’t know why

And as I stared

I saw things

And it changed me

But something wasn’t right

With the light

Was I still dreaming?

So I got up and I walked over to this lake

And I saw people on the other side

It wasn’t hard to tell

They didn’t look all that well

So I called out ‘cause I thought I could help

But no one had eyes

So they couldn’t see

That no one had ears

So they couldn’t hear me

Then I felt the earth quake

As a voice from the lake

Spoke these words and it instantly calmed me

«I hear you call

I hear them all.»

Then it said:

«Life, she is a mystery

And there’s more to all of this that she ain’t telling me

So tonight it’s like a lake

Sit so still and pretty, makes your heart ache

But these days don’t it all just make your heart ache?»

Mi sono svegliato e sul muro ho visto la luce

Sembrava proprio un lago

Ma mi ha spaventato

Non so perché

E mentre lo guardavo

Ho visto cose

E mi ha cambiato

Ma qualcosa non andava

Con la luce

Stavo ancora sognando?

Quindi mi sono alzato e sono andato verso questo lago

E ho visto le persone dall'altra parte

Non è stato difficile dirlo

Non avevano un bell'aspetto

Quindi ho chiamato perché pensavo di poterti aiutare

Ma nessuno aveva gli occhi

Quindi non potevano vedere

Che nessuno avesse orecchie

Quindi non potevano sentirmi

Poi ho sentito la terra tremare

Come una voce dal lago

Ha detto queste parole e mi ha calmato all'istante

«Ti sento chiamare

Li ascolto tutti.»

Poi ha detto:

«La vita, lei è un mistero

E c'è dell'altro in tutto questo che lei non mi sta dicendo

Quindi stasera è come un lago

Siediti così fermo e carino, che ti fa male il cuore

Ma di questi tempi non ti fa solo male il cuore?»
