I wrestle with a force in the nighttime

I felt like I was slipping out my right mind

An image that I couldn’t seem to wipe out

He’s waiting every time I turn the lights out

Constantly attacking while I’m sleeping and he won’t rest

I’m paralyzed, trapped inside my own flesh

Tryna think of something I can do to make him slow down

I’m screaming but my mouth is making no sound

Maybe if I calm down, I can try to break free

I know it’s over if I let him take me

Suspended animation and I couldn’t even stand up

My wrists stuck together like I’m handcuffed

Begging for the morning, it’s the only time that I’m free

His presence automatically would blind me

Panicking and nervous, got me shaking and it’s no lie

And the crazy part is I don’t even know why

I’m afraid to go to sleep with forces hanging over me

I’m swinging ‘bows and wrestling while in my mind I’m questioning why

Who is this guy?

Coming every night?

Making me fight?

If I don’t make it out of this, I will sink

I couldn’t say a word but I could still blink

Had to find a reason to get out of his control soon

A dark shadow covered up the whole room

Then it flew down from the ceiling and the bed dropped

It put me in a full nelson headlock

Tried to fight it back but I didn’t last too long

I couldn’t get away ‘cause it was too strong

Then he lifted me and threw me up against a stone wall

I’m wishin' I could yell or make a phone call

Tryna think it out and tryin' not to make a wrong move

That’s when I heard a deep voice say, «I own you»

Couldn’t deal with the punishment I was absorbing, the external and internal

torment

Wonder if I’ll ever make it back to a calm state

‘cause it’s been happenin' every night for ‘bout a month straight

I’m afraid to go to sleep with forces hanging over me

The next night, I was tryna clear my mind out

I came up with an idea to find out what was terrorizing me and causing all

these head wounds

I put a video recorder in my bedroom

Felt myself gettin' sleepy so I took my clothes off

Then I hit record right before I dozed off

Fought through the night again 'til I felt the sunrise

But this time I’ma see him with my own eyes

I was real anxious when I woke up the next day

I picked up the recorder and I pressed play

Couldn’t wait to see the entity when it rose up

I watched about an hour then it showed up

Now I get to finally see who could this brother be

He picked the pillow up and tried to smother me

Fought my way out and took a breath for recovery

He looked in the camera, that’s when I saw it was another me

All of these nights I been fighting in this hell-house

It was me against me tryna take myself out

Why was this evil clone here?

What’s he gonna do?

Then a voice in my head said, «The evil one is you

I’m the righteous side of you, you chose to go a lower route

So I come every night to fight your wickedness and choke it out

If you want me to unlock the greatness, I’d be glad to

I just need you to submit and let me kill the bad you»

Lotto con una forza di notte

Mi sentivo come se stessi sfuggendo di mano

Un'immagine che non riuscivo a cancellare

Sta aspettando ogni volta che spengo le luci

Attacca costantemente mentre dormo e lui non si riposerà

Sono paralizzato, intrappolato nella mia stessa carne

Sto cercando di pensare a qualcosa che posso fare per farlo rallentare

Sto urlando ma la mia bocca non emette alcun suono

Forse se mi calmo, posso provare a liberarmi

So che è finita se mi lascio prendere da lui

Animazione sospesa e non riuscivo nemmeno a stare in piedi

I miei polsi si sono uniti come se fossi ammanettato

A mendicare per la mattina, è l'unica volta che sono libero

La sua presenza automaticamente mi accecherebbe

In preda al panico e nervoso, mi ha fatto tremare e non è una bugia

E la parte pazzesca è che non so nemmeno perché

Ho paura di andare a dormire con le forze che incombono su di me

Sto oscillando "inchini e lottando mentre nella mia mente mi chiedo perché

Chi è questo ragazzo?

Vieni tutte le sere?

Mi stai facendo combattere?

Se non ce la faccio, affonderò

Non riuscivo a dire una parola ma potevo ancora sbattere le palpebre

Doveva trovare presto un motivo per sfuggire al suo controllo

Un'ombra scura copriva l'intera stanza

Poi è volato giù dal soffitto e il letto è caduto

Mi ha messo in un blocco completo nelson

Ho provato a combatterlo ma non sono durato troppo a lungo

Non riuscivo a scappare perché era troppo forte

Poi mi ha sollevato e mi ha scagliato contro un muro di pietra

Vorrei poter urlare o fare una telefonata

Sto provando a pensarci e cercando di non fare una mossa sbagliata

Fu allora che sentii una voce profonda dire: "Ti possiedo"

Non potevo affrontare la punizione che stavo assorbendo, l'esterno e l'interno

tormento

Mi chiedo se riuscirò mai a tornare a uno stato calmo

Perché succede ogni notte da circa un mese di fila

Ho paura di andare a dormire con le forze che incombono su di me

Sto oscillando "inchini e lottando mentre nella mia mente mi chiedo perché

Chi è questo ragazzo?

Vieni tutte le sere?

Mi stai facendo combattere?

La notte successiva, stavo cercando di schiarirmi la mente

Mi è venuta in mente un'idea per scoprire cosa mi terrorizzava e causava tutto

queste ferite alla testa

Ho messo un videoregistratore nella mia camera da letto

Mi sono sentito assonnato, quindi mi sono tolto i vestiti

Poi ho raggiunto il record subito prima di appisolarmi

Ho combattuto di nuovo per tutta la notte finché non ho sentito l'alba

Ma questa volta lo vedrò con i miei occhi

Ero molto ansioso quando mi sono svegliato il giorno successivo

Ho preso in mano il registratore e ho premuto play

Non vedevo l'ora di vedere l'entità quando si è sollevata

Ho guardato circa un ora poi è apparso

Ora posso finalmente vedere chi potrebbe essere questo fratello

Ha raccolto il cuscino e ha cercato di soffocarmi

Ho combattuto per uscire e ho preso un respiro per riprendermi

Ha guardato nella macchina fotografica, è allora che ho visto che era un altro me

Per tutte queste notti ho combattuto in questa casa infernale

Sono stato io contro di me che cercavo di tirarmi fuori

Perché questo clone malvagio era qui?

Cosa farà?

Poi una voce nella mia testa disse: «Il maligno sei tu

Sono il lato giusto di te, hai scelto di seguire una strada più bassa

Quindi vengo ogni notte per combattere la tua malvagità e soffocarla

Se vuoi sbloccare la grandezza, sarei felice di farlo

Ho solo bisogno che tu ti presenti e mi permetta di uccidere il cattivo di te»
