The Burden Robe - K Rino

There was a man who woke up one day with his heart absent of love

So he went to search for the answer of why that really was

All attempts to learn on his own would eventually fail him

Asked his mother and his father but neither one would ever tell him

He was not young, he was not old, he had been here for a while

And trouble had built up inside of him since he was a child

He met a guy who then told him, even though he didn’t know him

And informed him of an old man with the understanding to show him

His inner demons was starting to eat right through him and defeat him

So he quickly made preparations to locate him and meet him

He was already questioning whether or not he would believe him

So he just thought to himself I guess I’ll find out when I see him

So much trouble on my shoulders now, every day a new weight

I should’ve been a better man but now I think is too late

I have to pull my mind back from the darkness to a true place of light,

before this burden overtakes me

He showed up a the man’s home, hoping he wasn’t a faker

He walked up to the door and checked the address on the paper

He was kind of apprehensive because they told him to come alone

And as he lifted his hands to knock the door just opened up on its own

And the old man appeared and said, «How may I assist you?»

He said I heard that you can lift my burdens.

He said, «It's true»

He called him closer grabbed him by the shoulder, gripped it tight

And in his mind he now could vision every aspect of his life

Then he stepped into the light, the garment he wore was exposed

It was a robe that looked as though it was five centuries old

He said, «If you put this on then your children will fall below you»

He said 'I don’t have any children' He said, 'Yes you do I’ll show you'

The old man said this robe I’m wearing, is no regular robe

It exposes past emotions and reasons never been told

When you were five years old you were Parsimonious indeed

And that Selfish mind married Lust and gave birth to Greed

Then Greed grew up to gain much, but was a lonely one

Till he met Hate who gave birth to Pain their only son

And Pain consummated with Envy from night time till the morn

And two more children Disloyalty and then Murder were born

And you fathered them all and let each of these spirits drown you

And Love, Trust and Compassion were not allowed to be around you

So now you stand before me crying imploring for help

Asking me to lift the sadness you inflicted on yourself

Then the old man took the robe off and his heart began to soften

The stress erased from his face and his grey began to darken

Then he placed it on the man’s back and the man began to lose it

It was uncomfortable, heavy and impossible to remove it

The old man said I wore this for fifty years, it wasn’t easy

But you coming to see me took it off my back and freed me

So to wipe out the regret and hurt you feel there’s only one way

You’ll have to wear this robe till someone like you finds you one day

There’s a lesson in this, for all of us

The things we do stay with us for years

Till we cleanse them from our internal self

In other words get them demons out your heart man

C'era un uomo che si svegliò un giorno con il cuore assente dall'amore

Quindi è andato a cercare la risposta del perché lo fosse davvero

Tutti i tentativi di imparare da solo alla fine lo avrebbero fallito

Chiese a sua madre ea suo padre ma nessuno dei due glielo avrebbe mai detto

Non era giovane, non era vecchio, era qui da un po'

E i problemi erano cresciuti dentro di lui sin da quando era bambino

Ha incontrato un ragazzo che poi glielo ha detto, anche se non lo conosceva

E lo informò di un vecchio con la comprensione di mostrarglielo

I suoi demoni interiori stavano iniziando a mangiarlo attraverso e sconfiggerlo

Quindi ha preparato rapidamente per localizzarlo e incontrarlo

Si stava già chiedendo se gli avrebbe creduto o meno

Quindi ha solo pensato tra sé e sé che immagino che lo scoprirò quando lo vedrò

Tanti problemi sulle mie spalle adesso, ogni giorno un nuovo peso

Avrei dovuto essere un uomo migliore, ma ora penso che sia troppo tardi

Devo riportare la mente dall'oscurità a un vero luogo di luce,

prima che questo peso mi sorprenda

Si è presentato a casa dell'uomo, sperando che non fosse un falso

Si avvicinò alla porta e controllò l'indirizzo sul foglio

Era un po' preoccupato perché gli avevano detto di venire da solo

E mentre alzava le mani per bussare, la porta si aprì da sola

E il vecchio apparve e disse: «Come posso assisterti?»

Ha detto che ho sentito che puoi sollevare i miei fardelli.

Disse: «È vero»

Lo chiamò più vicino, lo afferrò per la spalla, la strinse forte

E nella sua mente ora poteva vedere ogni aspetto della sua vita

Poi è entrato nella luce, l'indumento che indossava è stato esposto

Era una veste che sembrava avere cinque secoli

Disse: «Se ti metti questo, i tuoi figli cadranno sotto di te»

Ha detto "Non ho figli" Ha detto "Sì, te lo faccio vedere"

Il vecchio ha detto che questa tunica che indosso non è una tunica normale

Espone emozioni passate e ragioni mai raccontate

Quando avevi cinque anni eri davvero parsimonioso

E quella mente egoista sposò la Lussuria e diede origine all'Avidità

Poi Greed è cresciuto per guadagnare molto, ma era solo

Finché non ha incontrato Hate che ha dato alla luce Pain, il loro unico figlio

E il Dolore consumato con Invidia dalla notte fino al mattino

E nacquero altri due figli Slealtà e poi Omicidio

E tu li hai generati tutti e hai lasciato che ciascuno di questi spiriti ti affogasse

E Amore, Fiducia e Compassione non potevano essere intorno a te

Quindi ora stai davanti a me a piangere implorando aiuto

Chiedendomi di sollevare la tristezza che ti sei inflitto

Poi il vecchio si tolse la tunica e il suo cuore iniziò ad addolcirsi

Lo stress è stato cancellato dal suo viso e il suo grigiore ha cominciato a scurirsi

Poi lo ha posizionato sulla schiena dell'uomo e l'uomo ha iniziato a perderlo

Era scomodo, pesante e impossibile da rimuovere

Il vecchio ha detto che l'ho indossato per cinquant'anni, non è stato facile

Ma tu venendo a trovarmi me lo hai tolto di dosso e mi hai liberato

Quindi per cancellare il rimpianto e ferirti senti che c'è solo un modo

Dovrai indossare questa vestaglia finché qualcuno come te non ti troverà un giorno

C'è una lezione in questo, per tutti noi

Le cose che facciamo rimangono con noi per anni

Finché non li puliamo dal nostro io interiore

In altre parole, fai uscire quei demoni dal tuo cuore, amico
