Yeah get ready, enter my mind

Yesterday morning I stood in the mirror, gazing into my own eyes

Knowing the life that I was living wasn’t the one that I visualized

Half woke and half unconscious, I replayed my life over

Saw the image of a man with a mask standing over my shoulder

First I thought that I was hallucinating, I must be still sleep

Dreaming deep, I paid it no mind until I heard him speak

And the words he spoke were deadly, no love in them were meant

Said he was watching me and I would see him everywhere that I went

I got scared and broke the mirror, ran out feeling a buzz

Determined not to quit but once I looked up there he was

I was hoping I could take the mask up off his face and see

I had two questions, who is this man?

And why is he chasing me?

I jumped in the ride and burnt off, doing my best to run

Passed at least 11 bus-stops and he was standing at every one

Saw him in my rear-view mirror, thought my sanity’s tryna pimp me

'Cause there wasn’t no cars behind me and my backseat was empty

I looked at the clock and I noticed, it’s 2:23pm

But I’m paranoid 'cause nobody was outside but me and him

I couldn’t shake, escape or evade him no matter what corners I was cutting

Had a full tank of gas, but the car shut down all of a sudden

I bailed out and started running, I’m in my hood and I know it well

But the street signs had changed up, they had words on them like 'Hell'

And had words on them like 'murder', 'damnation' and 'lies' instead

And whatever street that I ran down, I went through what it said

I was in pain so I broke down, it all ended at last

The torture felt like 20 hours but only 5 minutes had passed

Why was I going through this suffering?

What was this man scheming?

Before he took me I woke up screaming and realized that I was dreaming

I was glad that it was over, so I stood up to my feet

Walked outside to get some fresh air and absorb some of the heat

I kind of laughed about the whole thing once the drama was complete

I almost passed out when I looked up and seen him standing across the street

I took off was running full speed, as fast as I could go

But no matter how fast I ran, he was right behind my walking slow

With the same mask on from the dream with specks of blood on it

Tired of running for my life, he’d have to take mine if he want it

So I stop to turn and face him, no words were left to say

But once he saw my fear was gone, he took off running the other way

I was confused while I was chasing him, it wasn’t what it seems

How can I fight something that hides in mirror reflections and in dreams?

Nevertheless, I got to take the chance and hope that I can stretch him

At that moment he stopped running as if he wanted me to catch him

All the psychological anguish that I went through was defined

I grabbed his head, snatched his mask off and the face in it was mine

I almost went blind, but it all came together step by step

I was being chased by my own sin, running from the dark side of myself

As I choked him in a tight grasp, I began to understand

Right then and there the man in the mask just disappeared inside my hand

It was all a sign for me to change and see the world clearer

I closed my eyes and when I opened 'em I was back in front of the mirror

But even though the man was gone, I still can’t say that it’s the end

'Cause I know that if I slip up, I’ll see that mask again

Sì, preparati, entra nella mia mente

Ieri mattina mi sono guardato allo specchio, guardandomi negli occhi

Sapere che la vita che stavo vivendo non era quella che visualizzavo

Mezzo sveglio e mezzo privo di sensi, ho rivisto la mia vita

Ho visto l'immagine di un uomo con una maschera in piedi sopra la mia spalla

Per prima cosa ho pensato di avere le allucinazioni, devo essere ancora addormentato

Sognando in profondità, non ci ho pensato fino a quando non l'ho sentito parlare

E le parole che pronunciò erano mortali, non si trattava di amore in esse

Ha detto che mi stava guardando e che l'avrei visto ovunque andassi

Mi sono spaventato e ho rotto lo specchio, sono corso fuori sentendo un ronzio

Determinato a non smettere, ma una volta che ho alzato lo sguardo, eccolo lì

Speravo di poter togliere la maschera dalla sua faccia e vedere

Avevo due domande, chi è quest'uomo?

E perché mi insegue?

Sono saltato in sella e sono bruciato, facendo del mio meglio per correre

Ha superato almeno 11 fermate di autobus e si è fermato a tutte

L'ho visto nel mio specchietto retrovisore, ho pensato che la mia sanità mentale stesse cercando di sfruttarmi

Perché non c'erano macchine dietro di me e il mio sedile posteriore era vuoto

Ho guardato l'orologio e ho notato che sono le 14:23

Ma sono paranoico perché non c'era nessuno fuori tranne me e lui

Non potevo scuoterlo, scappare o sfuggirgli, indipendentemente dagli angoli che stavo tagliando

Aveva il pieno di benzina, ma l'auto si è spenta all'improvviso

Mi sono ritirato e ho iniziato a correre, sono nel mio quartiere e lo so bene

Ma i segnali stradali erano cambiati, avevano parole come "Inferno"

E su di loro c'erano parole come "omicidio", "dannazione" e "bugie".

E qualunque sia la strada che ho percorso, ho attraversato quello che diceva

Stavo soffrendo, quindi sono crollato, alla fine è finito tutto

La tortura sembrava 20 ore ma erano passati solo 5 minuti

Perché stavo vivendo questa sofferenza?

Che cosa stava tramando quest'uomo?

Prima che mi prendesse, mi sono svegliato urlando e mi sono reso conto che stavo sognando

Ero contento che fosse finita, quindi mi sono alzato in piedi

Sono uscito per prendere un po' d'aria fresca e assorbire parte del calore

Ho in un certo senso riso per l'intera faccenda una volta che il dramma è stato completato

Sono quasi svenuto quando ho alzato lo sguardo e l'ho visto in piedi dall'altra parte della strada

Sono decollato a tutta velocità, il più veloce che potevo

Ma non importa quanto velocemente corressi, lui era proprio dietro il mio camminare lentamente

Con la stessa maschera del sogno con macchie di sangue sopra

Stanco di correre per salvarmi la vita, dovrebbe prendere la mia se lo vuole

Quindi mi fermo per girarmi e affrontarlo, non sono rimaste parole da dire

Ma una volta che ha visto che la mia paura era sparita, è scappato di corsa dall'altra parte

Ero confuso mentre lo inseguivo, non era quello che sembra

Come posso combattere qualcosa che si nasconde nei riflessi speculari e nei sogni?

Tuttavia, devo cogliere l'occasione e sperare di poterlo allungare

In quel momento ha smesso di correre come se volesse che lo prendessi

Tutta l'angoscia psicologica che ho attraversato è stata definita

Gli ho preso la testa, gli ho strappato la maschera e la faccia era la mia

Sono quasi diventato cieco, ma tutto si è riunito passo dopo passo

Sono stato inseguito dal mio stesso peccato, scappando dal lato oscuro di me stesso

Mentre lo soffocavo in una stretta stretta, iniziai a capire

Proprio in quel momento l'uomo con la maschera è scomparso nella mia mano

Per me è stato tutto un segno di cambiare e vedere il mondo più chiaro

Ho chiuso gli occhi e quando li ho aperti ero di nuovo davanti allo specchio

Ma anche se l'uomo se n'era andato, non posso ancora dire che sia finita

Perché so che se sbaglio vedrò di nuovo quella maschera
