And The North Star Cried - Kiuas

Long ago when the gods were still young and guarded the heavens

With might the four furious winds swept across the snows

Proud, fearless and free the children of Ukko walked the Earth

And at dusk they sang anthems to the welkin and their beloved North Star

…And still she smiled upon the Earth

Through these lands of ice the North Star once led our way

Now blood covers the frozen ground

Scarred by an eerie sound as the North Star cries in pain

On the darkest of winters evil arrived from across the sea

Disguised as a wooden cross — as the coming of salvation

Death and destruction they brought and clashes of steel filled the nights

And the North Star watched as the blood of her children flowed

…And her tears fell upon the Earth

Our fathers' blood was spilled on the ice

And the North Star cried in the night

Our beloved gods were violently driven to exile

Gone are the days of the North Star’s reign

Now her tears are all that remain

But one day they’ll wash the blood away

And the spirit that once died

Shall rise again!

Molto tempo fa, quando gli dei erano ancora giovani e custodivano i cieli

Con forza i quattro venti furiosi spazzarono le nevi

Orgogliosi, senza paura e liberi i bambini di Ukko hanno camminato sulla Terra

E al tramonto cantavano inni ai welkin e alla loro amata stella polare

…E ancora sorrideva alla Terra

Attraverso queste lande di ghiaccio una volta ci fece strada la Stella Polare

Ora il sangue copre il terreno ghiacciato

Sfregiato da un suono inquietante mentre la Stella Polare piange di dolore

Negli inverni più oscuri il male è arrivato dall'altra parte del mare

Travestito da una croce di legno - come l'arrivo della salvezza

Morte e distruzione portarono e scontri d'acciaio riempirono le notti

E la stella polare osservava scorrere il sangue dei suoi figli

…E le sue lacrime caddero sulla Terra

Il sangue dei nostri padri è stato versato sul ghiaccio

E la stella polare ha pianto nella notte

I nostri amati dèi furono violentemente spinti all'esilio

Sono finiti i giorni del regno della stella polare

Ora le sue lacrime sono tutto ciò che resta

Ma un giorno laveranno via il sangue

E lo spirito che una volta morì

Risorgerà!
