Young / father gave me a gun

Said, ‘ you’re gonna' have a choice '

I pointed it at the sun

Lowered a couple inches / finger sticking to trigger

Yellow bird on a limb / I shot her between the lungs

As she fell through the air / hit ground

Grandfather’s face embodied disappointment
