Seasons come, and seasons go —

Time is just some ghost, you know…

Ask me where the river’s flowing,

Some place where her heart is knowing…

And the sun, she’ll smile, you know,

Kissing soft that gentle flow,

Laughing with the river’s thoughts,

Smiling at the love she’s brought…

I have been running through wilds of green,

Dream yields their leaves!

The fairest meadows the Fey have seen,

Lost in the eaves…

Wandering the ruins of ancient poems,

Child of the oaks…

Steeped in the Lore of the woodland tomes,

Scarlets and golds…

And the sun, she’ll smile, you know,

Kissing soft that gentle flow,

Laughing with the river’s thoughts,

Smiling at the love she’s brought…

Wake me, my angel — I’ve slept

With my sword at my side;

Silvers and golds,

Jewels rare and bold,

Gleaming with fire,

Feeding desire…

Gently the woodland has nestled me

Softly in sleep;

Oak leaves and vines,

Smiling through time,

Green Man adored,

Greening the sword…

Wake me now, my Forest Queen,

Draped in gold, and woodland green,

Le stagioni arrivano e le stagioni vanno —

Il tempo è solo un fantasma, sai...

Chiedimi dove scorre il fiume,

Un posto dove il suo cuore sta sapendo...

E il sole, lei sorriderà, sai,

Baciando dolcemente quel flusso gentile,

Ridendo con i pensieri del fiume,

Sorridendo all'amore che ha portato...

Ho corso in mezzo a terre selvagge di verde,

Il sogno cede le foglie!

I prati più belli che i Folletti abbiano visto,

Perso nelle gronde...

Vagando tra le rovine di antiche poesie,

Figlio delle querce...

Immerso nella sapienza dei tomi boschivi,

Scarlatti e ori...

E il sole, lei sorriderà, sai,

Baciando dolcemente quel flusso gentile,

Ridendo con i pensieri del fiume,

Sorridendo all'amore che ha portato...

Svegliami, angelo mio, ho dormito

Con la mia spada al mio fianco;

Argenti e ori,

Gioielli rari e audaci,

Luccicante di fuoco,

Nutrire il desiderio...

Dolcemente il bosco mi ha annidato

Dolcemente nel sonno;

foglie e viti di quercia,

Sorridendo nel tempo,

Green Man adorato,

Inverdire la spada...

Svegliami ora, mia regina della foresta,

Drappeggiato in oro e verde bosco,

Perché le stagioni vengono, e le stagioni vanno,

E il tempo è solo un fantasma, sai...
