«I'm not a widow, I’ll never mourn,»

The plagues will overtake you

Your empire will never live on

Come out of her, my people, don’t share her sins

You’ll reap with her destruction and terror she brings

Her sins are piled to heaven, a mountain to the sky

With her wealth comes corruption, it’s nothing but a lie

Can’t you see your hate of God will be your fall?

The earthly treasures amount to nothing at all

Her lust for power has cracked the very heart of life

Oh, Babylon, God has remembered your crimes

Woe to you who are rich;

you have already received your comfort

Her wealth and splendour has lead the nations astray

Inside her walls is found the blood of prophets and saints
