On the 17th Floor - Living Death

I stood in the hall and smiled with myself

As I asked me which lift I would try

Three of them waited, neon lighted

I choiced and entered the right

The liftdoor shutted before I pressed

The button to the floor I would go

I pressed number five but the light shined on 17

'What's That' I wanted to know

The cabin moved up, not able to understand how

I passed number five and soon I’ll arrive, my heart beated faster now

The doors cracked and opened with sensor sound

The neon light flickered and the darkness was all around

Morbid sounds tortured my ears

Strong winds blew dust and sand into my eyes

Bestial heat came out of the cabin walls

It was intolerable and I knew I had arrived

I left the lift and it moved back down

I was standing right on the floor

The question was where to move, right or left?

Then in front of me opened a door

Red light was comin' out of it

And the floor bottom turned to red slime

I felt like my feet burn away

What was it that wanted me to die?

The faster I move the slower I go

Out of the walls came reptiles and bloody skulls

The room was endless, I sank deeper into the slime

I wondered why I didn’t lost my mind

Then I felt strong arms pulling me out of the heat

I was shocked that my bones were the rest of my body I keep

I came to the end of the room and opened the back door

What I saw drove me insane — my dead body in a mirror

Rimasi in sala e sorrisi con me stesso

Mentre mi chiedevo quale ascensore avrei provato

Tre di loro hanno aspettato, illuminati al neon

Ho scelto e sono entrato a destra

La porta dell'ascensore si è chiusa prima che avessi premuto

Il pulsante per il pavimento in cui andrei

Ho premuto il numero cinque ma la luce si è accesa il 17

"Cos'è quello" volevo sapere

La cabina si alzò, non in grado di capire come

Ho superato il numero cinque e presto arriverò, il mio cuore batte più forte ora

Le porte si incrinarono e si aprirono con il suono del sensore

La luce al neon tremolava e l'oscurità era tutt'intorno

I suoni morbosi hanno torturato le mie orecchie

I forti venti mi hanno soffiato polvere e sabbia negli occhi

Il calore bestiale usciva dalle pareti della cabina

Era intollerabile e sapevo di essere arrivato

Al diciassettesimo piano

Ho lasciato l'ascensore e si è spostato di nuovo verso il basso

Ero in piedi proprio sul pavimento

La domanda era dove spostarsi, destra o sinistra?

Poi davanti a me si aprì una porta

Stava uscendo la luce rossa

E il fondo del pavimento si è trasformato in melma rossa

Mi sentivo come se i miei piedi bruciassero

Cos'era che voleva che io morisse?

Più veloce mi muovo, più lentamente vado

Dalle pareti uscivano rettili e teschi insanguinati

La stanza era infinita, sprofondai più a fondo nella melma

Mi sono chiesto perché non ho perso la testa

Poi ho sentito braccia forti tirarmi fuori dal caldo

Sono rimasto scioccato dal fatto che le mie ossa fossero il resto del mio corpo che tengo

Sono arrivato in fondo alla stanza e ho aperto la porta sul retro

Quello che ho visto mi ha fatto impazzire: il mio cadavere in uno specchio
