and got hit by a car, driven by an elderly lady,

lost in thoughts, leaving the funeral of her

beloved husband.

Moved by a courageous, fond life, taken

away by his braveness, his intelligence,

and all the good he’d done, she forgot all about

his fading, all about the trouble and all about

his human weaknesses.

She forgot about the

changes during his return in 1945.

Tears in her eyes she reached the crossroad.

Lost, I was lost, but now I’m found

Raised from the ground of my burnt soul

I was lost, but now I’m back.

A fiery phoenix in a world coal black

This is gods fine for all your crimes, she thought,

convinced it was her fault dad left when she

was a child.

You’re insufferable, mother said.

None of her men ever stayed.

She was a quiet girl,

too quiet for a fulfilled life.

Persuaded to be a nothing,

she slipped into a parallel world,

in which she was the avenger of all repressed.

She emerged, her fate not able to alter.

A prince in shining armour should' ve come to her rescue.

Unluckily he didn’t believe in fate and left her at a crossing.

Lost, I was lost, but now I’m found…

He was about to take the final step.

Sufferance took his will to live.

Sitting at the windowsill, ready to descend,

a parting twosome got his attention,

and a car apparently not willing to slow down.

At the moment of impact all souls melted.

In a split second he understood universe’s

fortune and disguise.

He climbed back in his kitchen,

took a gulp of tea and finally he sang:

Lost.

Non c'è destino, disse, attraversò la strada,

ed è stato investito da un'auto, guidato da un'anziana signora,

perso nei pensieri, lasciando il funerale di lei

amato marito.

Mosso da una vita coraggiosa e affettuosa, preso

lontano dal suo coraggio, dalla sua intelligenza,

e tutto il bene che aveva fatto, se ne dimenticò

il suo svanire, tutto sui guai e tutto

le sue umane debolezze.

Si è dimenticata del

cambiamenti durante il suo ritorno nel 1945.

Le lacrime agli occhi raggiunse il bivio.

Perso, ero perso, ma ora mi sono ritrovato

Sollevato dal suolo della mia anima bruciata

Mi ero perso, ma ora sono tornato.

Una fenice infuocata in un mondo nero come il carbone

Questo va bene per tutti i tuoi crimini, pensò,

convinto che sia stata colpa sua quando papà se n'è andato quando lei

era un bambino.

Sei insopportabile, disse la mamma.

Nessuno dei suoi uomini è mai rimasto.

Era una ragazza tranquilla,

troppo tranquillo per una vita appagante.

Persuaso di essere un nulla,

è scivolata in un mondo parallelo,

in cui era la vendicatrice di tutti i repressi.

È emersa, il suo destino non è in grado di cambiare.

Un principe con un'armatura scintillante sarebbe dovuto venire in suo soccorso.

Sfortunatamente non ha creduto nel destino e l'ha lasciata a un incrocio.

Perso, ero perso, ma ora mi sono ritrovato...

Stava per fare il passo finale.

La sofferenza ha preso la sua volontà di vivere.

Seduto al davanzale, pronto a scendere,

una coppia che si separa ha attirato la sua attenzione,

e un'auto apparentemente non disposta a rallentare.

Al momento dell'impatto, tutte le anime si sono sciolte.

In una frazione di secondo capì l'universo

fortuna e travestimento.

È risalito nella sua cucina,

bevve un sorso di tè e alla fine cantò:

Perso.
