The Lord is come:

let earth receive her King!

and heaven and nature sing.

the Saviour reigns:

let men their songs employ,

while fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains

repeat the sounding joy.

No more let sins and sorrows grow,

nor thorns infest the ground:

he comes to make his blessings flow

far as the curse is found.

He rules the earth with truth and grace,

and makes the nations prove

the glories of his righteousnes

and wonders of his love.

che la terra riceva il suo Re!

Che ogni cuore gli prepari la stanza,

e il cielo e la natura cantano.

Gioia alla terra!

regna il Salvatore:

lascia che gli uomini impieghino le loro canzoni,

mentre campi e inondazioni, rocce, colline e pianure

ripeti la sonora gioia.

Non più crescano peccati e dolori,

né spine infestano la terra:

viene per far fluire le sue benedizioni

fino a quando si trova la maledizione.

Egli governa la terra con verità e grazia,

e fa provare le nazioni

le glorie dei suoi giusti

e le meraviglie del suo amore.
