But then congress declared war

Thats when Adam left town for the city

Organizing war protests

And Mark enlisted in the army

To finally get some respect

Sometimes our beliefs get the glory

While our friends get the neglect

While Mark was wounded overseas

The cops beat Adam in the streets

At the victory parade

Mark’s purple heart began to weep
