One thing I desire of the Lord,

and that I may seek after,

that I may dwell in the house

of the Lord forever.

And to inquire in His temple,

in time of trouble He hides me.

(In the sacrifice of the temple).

He shall hide me,

He shall set me high upon the rock.

And now my head shall be lifted above

and enemies all around me,

and therefore I offer sacrifice to the Lord forever.

One thing that I desire,

that I will seek after,

in the house forever and ever.

Una cosa che desidero dal Signore,

e che io possa cercare,

che io abiti nella casa

del Signore per sempre.

E per indagare nel suo tempio,

nel momento dei guai mi nasconde.

(Nel sacrificio del tempio).

Mi nasconderà,

Mi porrà in alto sulla roccia.

E ora la mia testa sarà sollevata in alto

e nemici tutt'intorno a me,

e quindi offro sacrificio al Signore per sempre.

Una cosa che desidero,

che cercherò,

che io possa dimorare

in casa per sempre.
