Last last I dreamed that you and I were in awful storm

With no place to go or shelter anywhere

And it took a while to realize the reason for the dream

Now the meaning of it all is coming clear.

The storm was on the trouble we’ve been having

No shelter was the answer we can’t find

And the screaming of the raging wind that chilled me to the bone

Must have been heavy on my mind.

And when today you called to tell me it was over

Lord I knelt when the phone began to ring

Yeah it took a while to understand the reason of it all

But now I know the meaning of the dream.

L'ultima volta ho sognato che io e te eravamo in una terribile tempesta

Senza un posto dove andare o un riparo da nessuna parte

E ci è voluto un po' per capire il motivo del sogno

Ora il significato di tutto ciò sta diventando chiaro.

La tempesta era sui problemi che abbiamo avuto

Nessun rifugio era la risposta che non riusciamo a trovare

E le urla del vento furioso che mi gelò fino alle ossa

Deve essere stato pesante per la mia mente.

E quando oggi mi hai chiamato per dirmi che era finita

Signore, mi sono inginocchiato quando il telefono ha iniziato a squillare

Sì, ci è voluto un po' per capire il motivo di tutto

Ma ora conosco il significato del sogno.
