To till the earth in our gardens

To reap whatever we have sown

To fade as life’s flame slowly wanes

While gazing forlorn

At the horizon

To scratch at dust in barren deserts

To clutch at all which we can claim

To flail as death’s hand reaches out

Never thinking beyond the bars of our cage

To plant our seeds in far oases

To set free that which we create

To rejoice as the wheel turns again

Dreaming far beyond

The bounds of our realm

Why do we live?

Per lavorare la terra nei nostri giardini

Per raccogliere tutto ciò che abbiamo seminato

Svanire mentre la fiamma della vita svanisce lentamente

Mentre guardi sconsolato

All'orizzonte

Per graffiare la polvere nei deserti aridi

Per innestare tutto ciò che possiamo rivendicare

Dimenarsi mentre si allunga la mano della morte

Mai pensare oltre le sbarre della nostra gabbia

Per piantare i nostri semi in oasi lontane

Per liberare ciò che creiamo

Per gioire mentre la ruota gira di nuovo

Sognare ben oltre

I confini del nostro regno
